The clamps are fine, just have some vertical play.
Always assume we're talking about the ClubSport edition which comes with the CSPs, extremely better than any other pedal out there in the price point. Load cell brakes, contactless gas/clutch, all metal.
Most of the defects have been gone with the new builds. The companys is fairly new so it was expected for there to be problems in the first year or two. The v2 version of the GT3 rs has been flawless for me and many others so far. Just wish they'd fix the damn fan noise already, but they can do that with a firmware upgrade.
Yeah, 2 is the highest dr mode I can use without it feeling fake. I still notice the friction, it's just much more noticable when turning after I spin, feels like I have no power steering.
Other than that, overall I've gotten used to it and really like how precise it is (especially in iRacing with the skip barber)
However, I wouldnt sign to 4 years with the way iracing is headed. could be $75 for a year normally within a year or so, without putting down $300. Or who knows, could do away with the whole subscription base thing. :O
Y'know, in my entire internet career, I have not once been "hacked". Just saying. Not that you weren't, just saying you'd have to be an idiot to have a really simple password or let someone know it.
I've had mine for 3 weeks. I absolutely adore the clubsport pedals. However the wheel, IMO, is uncomfortable and ruins the experience. It's too heavy and has too much friction, the wheel's thick rim feels weird in my hands (others will like it) and the stitching on the inside is poorly done and feels very rough to the touch
If I could go back, I'd get a g27 wheel, ClubSport pedals, and a Lightning SST Shifter.
Would anyone with a the Skip Barber or Star Mazda be willing to let me "rent" their account for an hour or two to test em out on some tracks? Was thinking of selling my wheel, but if I enjoy the open wheelers more I might just stick with it.
PM me if anyone's interested. Will be much appreciated! (And will only be in testing mode of course! No racing xD)
I remember LFS is what forced me to upgrade my computer! I was perfectly fine playing Diablo II on my crappy CRT, but LFS demanded more
19" Samsung - $200 at the time
21.5" Samsung - $180
Whole computer - easily $2000+ over the past 3 years.
G25 - $280
Another G25 - $125
GT3 RS v2 - $344
SST Lightning - $180
Countless hours modding my desk/space for racing w/ a wheel
Sparked interest in better racing games - Forza 3 $50; XBox 360 wheel $100; iRacing 3 month $18; probably missing some.
haha. well most of the grid was still there (9 cars at finish), they were just 8+ seconds behind me. I even spun on lap 10/11 (I wasnt expecting the tires to degrade that fast) and had plenty of time to recover. Was pretty fun, but I still prefer LFS for some reason!
I just wish CTRA was still alive. Yes, thats why I'm on CLC heh
