Relax, LFS has become more of a sim for those who just wanna drive and enjoy themselves on a Sunday evening, nothing like other sims that deliver updates from time to time and have a community full of track / car modders etc.

I don't expect LFS to do well on Steam, people there expect you to update the game from time to time.

LFS is a great game, don't get me wrong, most of us grew up along with this awesome masterpiece, but it needs more to be competitive with the other sims on Steam.

Anyone can write nicely on the web. Doesn't take much.
You are no different than any other LFS Demo racer. Competitions have been held in the past where a demo racer had the opportunity to win a license - that takes work and dedication and actually pushes the drivers to strive for more. You though with your kind, bottom-licking techniques seem to believe someone will hand you out a license. There are people less fortunate than you and still have managed to buy themselves a license.
''maybe get a better pc''. Just save up, that's not hard is it? I worked day and night to build myself a new system, I'm not complaining am I?

Nothing wrong with mods. The drifting scene in rF used them everywhere and the fun competitions and daily drifting you could enjoy was epok. Same with AC, mods just make it so much better.

update #3-t150 pedals have been fixed. For that extra premium deluxe resistance I put a sponge and taped it down inside the pedal case (for the gas pedal). I also had to put on some extra deadzone ingame in AC, so that would be 50 percent for the gas and 30 for the brake.
Lovely.

Update on the T150.
Been drifting for the past couple of days on AC and I managed to break the resistance support on the gas pedal. The pedal itself still registers travel and works just like it did but now the pedal has no resistance.
:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

update #2-pedals are entirely dead.

You can mirror the skin but you have done it the wrong way. You are supposed to mirror the other side of the car. Drift car designs irl are mirrored as well (not all of them, but some older Japanese drift designs are mirrored).

T150 wheel feels pretty nice, though it's rather heavy steering wise. I like how the paddle shifters feel on the T150 - very responsive and a solid click noise (unlike the paddle shifters on G27 that feel cheap and can be triggered easily).

Pedals are entirely plastic. They are decent, they can get the job done but do not feel good and have very little travel both on the gas and brake pedal. There's also deadzone for both pedals when they are either entirely pressed down or if you try to slightly use the gas/brake pedal.
^you can order separate TR pedals because T150 supports both T3PA and T3PA PRO pedals which will fix the issue.

Also, worth mentioning - the T150 is not ideal if you are into drifting. Despite the fact that T150 has strong FFB, it is not quick. I've been drifting in LFS with the G27 for about 3 years and with the DFGT for 2 years, the T150s FFB is simply too slow.

Have had the T150 since the beginning of 2016. I haven't used it that frequently in LFS, I mostly race in AC. Still acts as it was brand new. No issues with the pedals so far (except for the little deadzone that has been around since I got it).

had a DFGT - broke down right after the warranty was over
had a G27 - after the warranty was over had pedal tracking issues (spiking etc). a good clean helped but it would come back eventually and just annoy you

now got a T150 and the plastic pedals are better than the ones on G27.

No, I do not want LFS to die. No, it's not my intention to start another fight over what's better and what we should do as a community blablabla...I used to play LFS for a really long time and I used to be a fanboy, I used to defend it despite the lack of updates. My friends used to play it but stopped due to the fact that there are other options out there.

I have met a lot of great people on this simracing platform, some of them don't really play here anymore, some have moved over to other titles. After I upgraded my system that cost me well over..well, a lot, I decided to give other titles a go. Yeaaah, they can get rather expensive, but that doesn't bother me because the level of immersion is on a completely different level and there's so much more to experience.

AAAND YEEES I KNOW there are only 3 devs, but I'm just sad to see my favorite playground struggle..I mean, you can't blame the people who left the game a long time ago when there are other games offering real cars, laser scanned tracks and whatnot?! Frown

nesrulz, I am with you! I have nothing against the people who are still trying to keep LFS alive with their leagues, but the matter of the fact is..most people are not interested to play a game that no longer has a demand.

Sure..I wish nothing but the best to the developers of LFS, but you have to be realistic and look at the situation from a different perspective. iR, AC..they just deliver. They deliver what the audience wants (more or less..).
..I do check LFSW to see from time to time how many people are online around 21:00 GMT..well, it's barely 300.

I'm certain most of you have heard of dead men walking gaming community and Dominant Monkey Racing. They are really great people and I can assure you they are one of the friendliest people out there and they provided nothing but genuine and FUN racing..not being the fastest, just enjoying great, fun racing. But they are not playing LFS anymore, they have moved to other simracing titles. That's just the way it is.

..and B2R Storm, if you are reading this, please, PLEASE, for the love of god, STOP putting in the effort to maintain B2R servers on LFS. You have done so MUCH, but got so little in return for the past year. Please, move over to the other simracing title that most people have told you about already. Your effort will go a long way, you can be sure about that. Your passion and enthusiasm WILL do nothing but great things for them. I do not want to see you struggle anymore. Embrace the way it is, let go and just move on...Many, MANYYY people from LFS have already moved over to other simracing titles to create their communities or just enjoy what the latest tech can offer, it's worth it..trust me. Your racing passion will be once again shining very, very brightly.. Smile
