Awsome idea but i can see it creating a major problem for 56k Users.

Think about it.. say you've got 20 spectators, that means the server has to get information about 20 individuals walking around the track at any one time.. then you've got the 10 or so actual Racers driving around.

I can see it working, but not very well, or at least not as well as we'd like

But having an ingame function would make life so much easier if this matterd... i cant say i'd use the function my self as i use paddles for gear changes, shifter back for hand brake and shifter forward for switching T/C on and off but its a good idea

I know how ya feel with having alot of setups as i got alot of drift setups for FZ50 and XRT, then alot of diff track setups for BF1

So what i do is if i've got time,i go through my drift setups.. do a few laps, then i rename them to say "Drift 1 G" So this represents Drift Setup number 1 Good

then say Drift Setup number 2 is awsome i will rename it to "Drift 2 A"

or if i want a specific type of setup say for long style drifts, or for speed drifts i'll change it to Drift # Long or Drift # Speed etc

My point is mate, it comes down to commonsense.. like if your about to be lapped by someone who is clearly doing 3-5 seconds a lap faster then yourself, and the big blue flag is in your middle of the screen.. are you gonna just sit there on the racing line holding them up when its not for position?

Am i the only one who thikns putting real cars into this game will spoil it? I just think that they will create more bitching by the community saying the car doesnt handle like that in real life.

Sure they can put more cars in, but keep them based on real cars, not actually put real cars in. Which brings me to my next point

The community is basically split up into groups
1) Drifters
2) Racers
3) Draggers

So what i think they should do is put new cars which attend to those 3 specific classes, so basically you put cars modeld say on the 180sx, skylines etc that r good for drifting

then you have your touring cars like say V8 Supercars, DTM etc

then you have your funny cars, pro stock and top fuel based designs

Forced setups would be a good idea, but i think they should only be inforced for lower car classes, i.e XRT etc.

When you get upto the racing class's you should be able to have any setup you want

Bit confused, do u guys not like the wheel movement coz you cant read speed/gear/fuel etc? or is it just simply distracting?

I find it good, BF1 can get a bit annoying when i'm trying to read the fuel remaining but i've found from playing games such as GP3 etc, they lacked decent cockpit, which includes hands actually moving with the wheel.

I personally think the devs have done an awsome job with the wheel and hand/arm movements in this game, but in saying that i suppose the option to lock the wheel movement is a good idea for those who hate it

I think better looking headlights when you flash them.. i mean they look pretty crappy with just the area been filled with white. Also instead of just flashing them, actually leave them on and put night races in. Might be alot of code also but hey its something that will be good

its there for a reason.. it pisses me off when ppl decide that its up to you to go down the inside to pass them therefor having a slower line into the corner which helps the 2nd place dude or what ever..

To enjoy F1 you have to go to the races your self, TV can get boring.. its not until you witness the speed and sound of an f1 live that u can truly appreciate their speed.

If your on a budget but wanna upgrade the Graphics Card, i strongly recommend a 256mb 6600GT or even a 6800GT, they r good cars, not the best but they rnt shit. Prolly the best value for money in my opinion. If you got alottttt of cash, go for a 7900GTX :P

I think keep the trend LFS is on, cars which rnt real, but at the same time there is a wide range of cars. I personally think introducing real cars to the game will spoil it because then you'll have ppl saying

"180SX's dont handle like that! FIX IT DEVS" etc etc etc.

Lucky for us no one knows what a F1 is like to drive :P

The only reason why people would pay for a dedicated server is because they get more bandwith and speed

Instead of say 512kb/s upload, they get 100mb

This also allows for more racers on

There needs to be more smoke, drifting just aint the same with sfa smoke
