As many of you know myself and a group of others have been spending time discussing, preparing, and debating about bringing GTR racing back to life in Live For Speed. The GT3 spec cars have been a staple of racing here at Revolutionary Racing for the past half a decade.
Arco, Rony, Deko, myself and many others had initiated talks and discussions about how to best create a series that keeps the GT3 cars alive but also allows for entry level drivers, who do not have a team, to participate in a solo driver season. We discussed using fixed setups like in Fox Junior this season, however, we decided that to best keep the spirit of GT3 alive that we would need to utilize all three GT3 spec GTR race cars each round. Thus we have decided to provide competitive setups for each car each race during the four race campaign that will span from October to December.
Each event will follow a standard format, with qualifying lasting 15 minutes and followed by a race that will take about 90 minutes to complete. Each race will be fully staffed and offer full safety car procedures.
I would also like to thank Rack Service for assisting us and our operations by providing excellent servers throughout the year. I hope that many of you will join us in this series and also in possible future spring series as we look to revive GTR endurance racing in LFS.
Stay tuned for regulations and signup posts soon.
Oh boy this points battle is looking epic.
3 drivers have a chance to win it.
The 48 and 19 of arco and igor are tied at 316 trailing 4 or 5 (have to check dnf order) points behind the 75! This looks very interesting and the winner will certaintly be the person who can master the tight corners at south city!
Thats what we are trying to figure out here. We will not do fixed sets for a race involving all 3 cars at same time we would do open setups. We will still do 1 man cars to allow for bigger grids, but we may bump the race length up and allow pitting. Initially with fixed was gonna be sprint race 15 min lap race + 55 mintimed race. If we do open sets we will do a lap race for 1hr 15 to 1 hr 30 with mandatory pit probably.
Hi guys, we have plans to run the GT3 series in a solo drive format. The big question we have come up with is if we want to use just one car for all 6 races or if we want to utilize all 3 cars with each being used twice over the course of the season. We need all your help do decide what is best. Duly note I will combine all single car votes into 1 and then choose the car I think appropriate based on submitted votes if it falls that way.
