Hi - Just tried installing patch and I'm getting an error with the Extraction.

I Click the LFS-V2.exe File & an 'Extract to' box comes up, then Click Extract & getting error '7-zip' diagnostic message >> LFS-V2.exe is not supported archive.

Hmmmm - Am i missing something, could it be an associations issue? THX.

Hi there - That looks like sweet setup m8. Got a couple a question if i may!

1. Any Eyestrain at all?

2. How much are the glasses & are they comfortable?

3. How much are the polarised filters & do you use 2 identical filters but rotated?

4. How much is polarised screen?

5. Is there a special paint you can get to paint your wall (to save price on screen?)

6. How do you adjust the actual 3d bit (ie more depth/less depth - infront of screen/behind screen)

7. What Video card you using & how much r they?

8. If jimmy took 3 qpples & 7 oranges to London at 2mph for 3 miles & 3.7mph for the rest - from swansea how long would it take to need new shoes?

Peace & seriously - Im Jealous & we all need abit of warm jelousy some times!

Oh and 1 last question - can you have the 3d half infront & half behind the screen or is the screen where it starts?

I got the Open Beta & Key yesterday. The game is terrible. At the moment forget using a wheel, as almost any input device make the game run about 5-20 fps. Unplug you wheel and you may get 30-40fps. This is just the worse experience with any game i have ever had the misfortune of trying. All that is in Offline mode. Try the game on their Laggy server & it gets much much worse.

I know its only Beta & you expect afew bugs BUT FFS.

Please ask if you would like me to elaborate on the terrible issues.

I was looking forward to this aswell - doh!

Anyway just an opinion.

er - not sure on FOV > about 90 ish i think. The pics are from before i got the propper widescreen resolution going. It looks alot better now.

The pic can be abit blury BUT from this distance its not that noticable.

Think about it, 12x8 ft widescreen. For the price its unbeatable, they dont make tvs that big (probably). DVDs look nice on it Everything is now (almost Lifesize). And dont even ask about the p**n

Also £150 for 18 months at 6-8 hours every night isnt that bad.

You can still watch stuff in the daytime if you want, because it has an
ultrabright mode thingy BUT that decreases lamp time alot. Hope that helps.
Peace.

not sure if you guys already seen this BUT I use a projector onto my
livingroom wall. Now a projector of the sort i got only costs about £500-600.
Im getting a screensize of 12x8 ft. Its only 800x600 BUT from about 14ft away i cant see the pixels. Heres sum pics. All you need is a big flat wall u can paint. I find the whole experience amazing. Now there is an issue with bulbs costing about £150 each but Ive had about 6-8 hours a night for about a year but still have half my lap hous left (i use the projector on low light mode to double the length of the lamp life) so i reakon i still got anoth 6 months of use before bulb replacement time.

Just a thought - Peace

THX Devs & Happy Xmas to all :)

nice, very nice, I love the new sounds. A great step forward imo.
May I take this opportunity to thank Scawen & the Devs for constantly
improving this sim. You know I must have done about 10000 lap of blackwood
over the years & EVERY lap has been different. This is testament to the super underlying physics & LOVE that have gone into the sim. Thanks againg for an amazing patch & the autoupdater is a joy. I felt like i was piloting a mini F22 in the F0X with the new sounds - great stuff!

Peace to Scawen & the Devs & all LFSrs! Have a Great XMAS - cyas on track!

I have a Sherwood amp & 2 Eltax floor speakers (bottom end components). The Sound is Great for games but abit crappy on music.

Ive heard alot of good thing about the Russ Andrews Rave System (built specifically for PCs with USB) Price seems OK aswell, see link.
