Does that happen with realistically spaced gears for road use? my experience is on a dry decently clean road, most of the times the outside wheel will start 'pushing' well before the inside begins to lose traction, but I certainly haven't done any 'scientific' test.
It's a bit like in LFS the outside front has too much grip
Both the programs I mentioned offer a driving line display, for F1PerfView I'm quite sure you need to download something (SMX?) from the lfs.net site, additional downloads.
JazzOn you're spot on about using a proper seat of course, I'm still looking for a decent one 2nd hand (been in junkyards too), but no luck so far. Luckily the pedals have a small area where I can rest my heels so no problems for that, but there's a problem with the lack of depth of an ordinary chair.
I also agree about hanging pedals, unluckily my desk has a longitudinal beam hanging too low for that.
This whole stand thing is a bit of a prototype to test how well the idea works, made of wood that would have been throw away anyway. If this turns out well I'll be thinking about extending the concept to include a support for a car seat too.
I've built a little stand for my pedal set, as it tends to become uncomfortable when it's laying on the floor. The stand is an improvement, but I'm having a hard time finding an entirely satisfactory position. FTR the wheel is clamped to a standard desk and I sit on a common (not office) chair.
I could use some advice on what angles/height work better for such a setup.
They're underestimating the holistic nature of marketing in the eyes of some people (not me yet) LFS has been turning into the next nKp, all kinds of speculative BS are flying around all over the (simracing part of the) 'net and the devs are doing naff to stop this bad word of mouth.
On the other side of the river, iRacing is churning out update after update, and everyday it's gaining more credibility.
Of course the devs entitled to ignore anything they want (like anyone else for that matter), but me myself I don't think this trend will be stopped for much time after the release of the next patch. I just hope they got an ace up their sleeve.
Not really true, Radiohead are often quoted as a band that discovered and rode the Napster way of marketing and in 2007 they started that new fashion of releasing CDs online which was imitated by many artists. However Radiohead have decided to let their contract with the lable expire so to have more freedom in making their choices.
In the recording industry it seems little people have learned anything, on that I am with you, and also about the greed.
Back to topic, I think this a first confirmation Sweden has stopped being the piracy heaven it once was, although I expect the TPB guys to try and appeal the ruling, the wind has changed.
Check whether your sound settings are correct after you plugged in the headset (i.e. not retain the surround setting)
If the multichannel output is not correctly downmixed to stereo, you will only hear the two front channels or the relative volume of the various channels will be messed up.
You have a good point about FFB Niels, but some people will always try to find the shortcut even if it's simracing and not a matter of life or death.
It's up to the developers to set up things in a way simdrivers have benefits from racing in the most realistic way, that's the only solution, and it should be particularly important for iRacing if they insist saying theirs is a training tool rather than just a game.
Yep their federal Universal Somalia of Africa budget has ample funds set apart specifically for this reason Gimme a break! If these guys were the good ones (and they probably aren't) how do you think they would find the money to do such a thing as you suggest?
Somalia has basically been forgotten by the civilized world since the early 90s, and as many other african countries I bet somalians don't enjoy much more basic services, which is likely why they support piracy in the first place.
OTOH piracy can't be tolerated, as these guys are probably just the 'lords of war' of tomorrow (if they are not already), i.e. they're gathering resources to seize power and start another civil war, with the usual wave of ethnic cleansing, and all the other funny things these kind of dictatorships tend to do.
The irony in all of this is -as usual- for the public to take notice of some countries, there must be a breaking news (think Malawi and Madonna). I honestly believe this should be interpreted and handled as a distress call rather than just a case of unofficial naval warfare.
+1 to ajp, e.g. the PRC guys are doing very interesting stuff on CPUs.
BTW if the consumers have one more choice that is more affordable and just as good as any other car in that price bracket, I can't see how it would hurt. Though I'm not quite sure the chinese mfrs would be able to get away selling copycats in the european or US market they could still cater to the less posh ones, though.
In my view, if you want to do it because you would enjoy doing it, go for it by all means. If instead you're just looking for a way to spare some bucks, it's most likely a dead end
That means I can stop using the look buttons altogether, divebomb on corner entry and in the event I'm causing an accident I do not have to give the place back isn't that right?
I'm not following the moldavian situation that closely but I've heard the opposing movement has a nationalist stance (Not Good in my book), and is also asking for annexation to Romania, so much that a Romanian's involvement is suspected.
BTW I find highly entertaining that in Georgia Sakasvili is having a lot of troubles as a consequence of his failed blitzkrieg attempt. The star of Bush has waned and soon even Sakasvili's could be out.
You can't stop the rise of True Almighty Communism, Barack Obama is bringing on to take over the world
Uh? the G25 retailing for 139$!? I just did a quick search on a pricebot and while it's ture the price has gone down a bit... it's still >=200€, and it makes sense to me: if the price gap with the DFGT (now >=120€) shrinked too much, who would buy it?
My best guess is a) Scawen didn't want to release a patch with just the Scirocco in it, maybe because it's just an unplanned extra b) the VWS would be updated in subsequent patches, but every time they do that, the sets have to be redesigned, the hotlap chart must be reset etc, so they din't want that to happen every other day.
As for the bugs, most I've seen (all?) were in the new shadow system which has zero, nil, nothing to do with the VWs itself.
Get the original bundle, extract it and then copy the lfs\data\dds folder over to your current lfs install. It will get rid of other texture mods that you might have installed, though.
