TVR Cerbera Speed 12 - a frankly loopy machine thats only just the right side of being bosozuko.
If you're talking about the hottest, then any hint of practicality should be an immediate disqualification: its the same for cars as for people - anything hot is also bloody difficult to live with. So goodbye to the sevens and exiges of this world (goodbye to anything by Lotus in fact - far too rational, far too driveable, far too English...). This also means goodbye to anything by Porsche or Mercedes, or indeed anything that says "Wealthy, but discretion is an under rated quality these days...." (So no Astons either, or Jaguars)
I thought about the 'Egg, but there's something about its lines that say "Military Bunker", and the Zonda is daft enough, but I think it really wants to be an aeroplane (so represents failed ambition, rather than gonzo aspiration)
The Lamborghini Muira comes really close: it looks like a sports car of its time should and has power far in excess of its ability to cope (unless you mess around with its mechanical bits), so has a justifiably dangerous reputation.
But no... I want a speed 12. It scares me.... like explosives should.
As long as they keep taking the piss, I won't mind. I'm not too bothered about the lack of informative opinion, and I know its all scripted, but if they back off from pushing sensitive buttons, it'll get boring quickly. It was a short series though, which makes me think either they spent a huge amount of the production budget on those projects or they were quite aware that they could quickly get into a rut.
This'll probably only make sense to anyone in the UK.... but does anyone else think that Top Gear is becoming Blue Peter for kidults?
We've got the scratch made projects, the three presenters, the trips abroad, and the dog.
BTW LP640? I wouldn't say no.... Know what you're saying about the Audi influence, but it still looks and sounds like a slightly psychotic friend, who makes you a bit nervous. Quite handsome and articulate, good to be around, but sometimes you catch him from a certain angle and he's looking at someone in a way that just isn't really.... well,... humane.

Don't really know what it'll be like with a GTR - my feeling is that maybe its too short. But I like it nonetheless.... I've had some really enjoyable races on the STCC servers running KY nat and the XFG/XRG. That section of oval makes the corner preceding it so important; more than a few times, a position I thought was out of reach has been nabbed on the line by getting that corner just right. It can be a heartbreaker when you feel the tyres scrabbling for grip as you come out of that corner on the last lap though....
Still haven't worked out how some people squeeze a 2:14 lap out of the XFG....
LOL - the track I never drive 'cause my computer chokes on a competitive and large field... Oh well, I shall endeavour to make some time to learn it and be something more than an accident in progress!
Actually, that's going to be quite surreal - I'm going to drive from South London to Southampton, in order to race around a South London circuit.... and then back to South London...
The real problem is that there's a long list of what women expect from their men. Men simply expect women to be able to cook, and if she can do that naked she's a keeper.
Normally demos are just window dressing - really bloody annoying window dressing that will run smoothly on your low end pc, and then when you shell out cash .... nothing works and some kidult entertainment company has shafted you for forty quid.
And then the software producing community have the gall to whine about how people crack their games. Treat people in that manner and you deserve to be cracked
That at least is why the LFS demo is as it should be... A fully working copy.
Yeah, the Glen is a good choice I'm happy to go with and it matches most of the reasons I gave for choosing Kyalami. The Ferrari is a good choice too: not very fast in a straight line (compared to the Eagle or the Lotus), but great in corners (matches the circuit well - I don't know if it comes with the demo, but to be honest, its not going to matter, because we are all going to have to adapt to new controllers at the centre. It'll be like being in a car you've never driven before anyway)
If Adrian can run the 69 mod, then I'd like to make a case for the Brabham (but again I'm not too bothered about which car really). I find the 69 mod physics less frustrating than the original's. Great as the 67 cars are, they do some odd things sometimes, and I eventually got bored with having to drive round these anomolies. They were things which could be fixed, but the nostalgia of the 67 original prevents anyone from 'vandalising' the cars (The upcoming 66 mod is going to address these issues apparently).
And FE gold noses ahead.... No way I'm tavelling to southampton to race a GTi on Blackwood!
Seriously, I'm happy to race on anything, since the main reason for me going is just to have a look at a 'serious' set-up, but I have to say I'm a little disappointed by the conservatism of the choices so far.
Do you still have single player? Your computer needs to be able to go online in order to unlock cars and tracks if you reinstall the game for whatever reason.
Whatever, I think its really up to the community to police cheating. To expect the devs not only to produce the software, but also to police the online racing is just as infantile as the act of cheating. Honestly, some people round here treat the devs as a kind of father figure and its really bloody irritating.
Kyoto GP circuit - even doing slowish laps you could do an eight lap race in twenty minutes. It would be nice to settle into a longer rhythm and... well, LFS doesn't actually have any loooongggg tracks, does it?
