Play around with the custom view. Move the axes around (x, y, z) and decrease the pitch. You'll find the settings in the View settings in the Options menu in-game.
Have you tried Richard Burn's Rally? All the videos of DiRT 2 gives me a impression that the car is revolving around an imaginary centerpoint during a turn - like in the previous games. In RBR, you have to do the driving - without some code assisting you in turning.
Its possible, but the amount of time you'll feel that 4 g's will be less than a second. The only way for that machine to simulate 4 g's is to accelerate the person at 39.2 meters per second per second (130 feet/s^2). If you want to simulate 4 g's of lateral g's for let's say - 2 seconds, you'll need 78 meters (85.3 yards) of free space for the seat to move. You'll be feeling something close to 1g most of time.
An alternative to that would be strapping yourself to a centrifuge, which could easily generate 4g's of centripetal force for a long time - but it has to be spinning at a ludicrous speed.
Just looked it up. The 2030 prediction is a collision between Earth and an asteroid. That was an old article that was written 10 years ago. They mentioned shortly after that they used a new model to calculate its path, which reduces the probability of a collision. Anyway, lets face it. We will eventually get hit by something out there. Proof: Look at those craters on the moon - and some on the Earth. Someday an object will miss the moon and hit us. Its got to happen.
The world won't end in 2012. The Mayan calendar was made for keeping record of crop harvests, not the "end of the world". I thought the world was supposed to end on the year 2000. :/
You might want to change the color of the stripes on the side. Make it a gradient from red to orange or something. Plain red looks boring in my opinion. The triangle on the nose section doesn't look so good. It would be better if you could remove the base of the triangle and extend the 2 legs
Why don't you check out Lynce's Revolution Pack? They're just new textures (.dds files) that make LFS look like a charm without altering its software code.
Oh, so you're saying... the new reflections look out of place on the current "low" polygon models. Well, I do see the jagged edges, but you gotta zoom quite close to even notice them. I don't think you'll be zooming in that close on a specific spot like that when you're racing though.
