that's a very immature way for a NiTRa team member to act, with the name calling and all (Oscar). Oh! Well he must not be in our team, he's got another tag in his sig! My mistake...
The only time i use a high-lock clutch pack is when banger racing, super high lock on acceleration means i can still drive with one wheel off the ground
WUHT? (off topic here -->)I also happen to write NES music! It's fun creating the feeling that there's a whole orchestra playing with only 2 square channels, a triangle channel and a noise channel.
eh... Fang The BF1 only has 7 gears, rofl did I say only? Well i suppose in terms of musical notes it it only 7. We are the champions has more than 7 notes in it i'm afraid, and i don't know the other songs you're on about i'll have to look em up.
lerts, locked diff makes the car more stable, and therefore easier to drive quickly, which is why most people use it.
With a loose diff, the car has the potential to go faster, but if you make a mistake it can go horribly wrong.
There, the truth in a nutshell. So shut up lerts *slaps face*

Reason : Spelling and punctuation
The idea hit me when I watched an episode of Top Gear in which a Renault Formula 1 car "sung" God Save The Queen (British National Anthem) with its engine. I've been trying to do it with throttle control for a while, but then I thought why not just use gears and the pit limiter?
So that's what I did, I've played three tunes with my musical setup, all of which are listed below, I also put the setup on there.
The setup is basically a major scale starting at gear 6, notes getting higher as you shift down. I'm not sure what note scale it is as I didn't tune the gears to a piano or anything, just did it by ear.
Chatting in-race is ok if it's only one or maybe two lines about something race-related and necessary.
Some examples of accepted chat:
"Sorry" or "Sorry, my bad" etc
"np", "no problem" or "" etc. by the person who was affected by driver who said sorry. If multiple drivers were affected, do not say anything if you were one of them.
If you lost connection, your reason for it, "wireless cut out", "power cut", "rats nibbling on my cables" etc. but keep it to one short line of text then be quiet and spectate or re-join the race.
"good pass". If someone says this do not respond to it.
Pretty much anything said by an admin/marshall. They will have a good reason for it.
A reply to something an admin/marshall has said to you personally, try to keep to the point.
Examples of forbidden chat:
"lol", "rofl", "lmao", "hahaha". This just takes up a line of chat for pretty much nothing.
"you got owned", "i pwn you all", "i am teh l33t". Okay, stop chatting and prove it.
"wah i flipped", "tyres are melting", "omg my clutch!", " i'm wrecked". We probably either already know or don't care, if you're incapacitated, pit and rejoin or spectate.
"setup?", "SETUP", "im can has setup?", "WHO HAS A SETUP?". This is completely inapropriate mid-race, just use RACE_S for now.
"I suck", "i'm gonna lose ", "/me will fail". Well, it's the taking part that counts.
"Dave what are you doing tomorrow?", "lol my mum came in the room and said...", "the other day, like, i was like at this place right...". This is just rude. Don't engage in conversation or say anything unnecessary.
...and remember, if you do something like spin out, make a bad move, or just something which you think will make others think you're "newbish", don't feel that you have to justify yourself. It's ok, we all make mistakes, even if it was really stupid.
The NiTRa GTR Weekly is, as the name suggests, a weekly race with GTRs. There is no prize (except knowing you were the best!), and it's not part of a league, it's just for fun! To make sure nobody shows any unsportsmanlike behaviour there will be a marshall watching over the race. It seems better that way as you can concentrate on racing rather than trying to click the kick button or complaining about it.
When: 19:00 GMT Friday 18th January 2008 Where: [NiTRa] Team Server Track: WE1 Qualifying: 10 minutes Race Length: 30 Laps Cars Allowed: GTR Class (FXR, XRR and FZR) Signup: Send an email to [email protected] with subject "GTR Weekly - WE1" containing your driver name and LFSW name. You must use the same car to race as to qualify.
If you have any questions email them to [email protected] and I'll get back to you.
Alternatively I'm watching this thread so you could post here if you have any questions.

Reason : Added explanation of what the event is about.
Overall a good race, some people need to brush up on their endurance skills, i.e. don't push too hard, go easy on the tyres.
I'm planning on organising a similar race weekly on Fridays. But this time signup won't be on the forum. Check nitwon.com/nitra for the next race and how to sign up. Signup will probably be via email, and entrants will be listed on the nitra page
This is not an announcement (yet), just wondering would anyone be interested in a GTR novice league? By novice I mean able to do between 1:10 and 1:15 on BL1 in a GTR class car consistently. I'm thinking if you can't do faster than 1:14 you should have a novice sticker on your car skin (black X on orange square), but don't be ashamed of it, we were all slow once!
Each race will be one hour with preferably 10 cars and a required pit stop, each car having either one or two drivers, if two, you can switch half way by pulling into the pits and using the take over feature.
Rules similar to IGTC. There will be a pace lap to start.
The idea is that novice drivers can get some experience of a properly organized touring car endurance race.
This is all just an idea at the moment, let me know if you would be interested.

Reason : spelled "league" wrong
Yes well, some people are proud of their new wheel and want to show it off. So what? People put other useless stuff in their names like xXxXnoobXxXx and ==NaMe==[team][country]==, there's no stopping them really.
Yes i do think your name should be limited to a team tag and your name, without the pretty punctuation and symbols or Xs, but that's life, live with it.
Just checking, are the number plates here big enough? i left it as 00 for now since I don't have a team number yet. Also it's not on lfsw yet until i get my number, so don't save it in your skins folder anyone!
P.S. the plates look squished but they appear with the original aspect ratio when shown on the car
NiTRa has been disbanded since other commitments took priority over my managing the team to the point where members were leaving due to lack of activity.
