To save setups online u should press "N" till u get the playerlist, then look for the green S next to the guys name who sent it and click it ; give the setup a name. Then u can load it from your garage (providing u are driving the same car as the player who sent his setup ofcourse )

No ,u should make a seperate webpage and forum especially for
threads like this
Lived in australia for two years and a half and never had a truely non-stop flight, even though the planes were 747-400's.
There was always a stop in Singapore to refuel. Some people got off there; new ones got on for the Sing-Aus flight all while refueling and unloading/loading the new baggage. So u shouldnt have to get out and wait for hours if u use a decent company.
For long haul flights i would also NEVER use a budget airline..If u want semi edible-food ,a
headphone with a personal radio and tv-screen ,free alcohol(usefull when u are stuffed on a plane for 24hours) and less cramped legroom (extremely imporant imo if u dont want to arrive like a zombie) i would recommend Singapore airlines, then Lufthansa and maybe BA or KLM.
In the future they might be doing truely non-stop flights, but i doubt it since airliners want as close to max capacity as possible. Which is easier when u make a quick fuelstop somewhere along the way and it also saves money by not having to carry all that fuel about for the whole journey.
The only thing i can imagine that happenend is steam asking :
"some files in the folder werent deleted, would u want to delete the folder anyway?" (or similar)
on which u clicked yes... with the now known consequences
Dont get annoyed with me..it's just the only possibility i can see (but i've been wrong before)
Downsides :
-being locked on a ship at sea for 6months a year (6week shifts)
-70-80% of the crew are alcoholics
Upsides :
-Good pay
-high tech gadgets to play with (like 3touchscreens with 6 joysticks
to controll the pipes)
-being home 6months a year with full wage
-seeig alot of the world (and lots of ladies when the ship is
docked )
The two downsides made me decide to quit in the end, but it's a challenging and pretty diverse job. (if your girl can cope with being alone for 6 out of twelve months :shrug
Things i noticed during a full grid 51lapper with XRT at blackwood.
- AI only takes fuel for 4 qualylaps and then comes into the pits regardless of time remaining. They dont go out again even if theres still 8 minutes of qualy left.
-15 out of 20 cars got stranded in the sandpit after the straight. Most(but not all) had a front puncture and werent able to adapt their brakingpoint..thus sliding into the gravelpit. (could be prevented by adjusting brakepressure so they dont lock their tires so often..but the ai should be able to adapt to blown tires)
-AI that pits on lap 41 to replace an almost blown right front replaces all four of his tires, and worse...adds the starting amount of fuel for 51 laps. He had ~13%left and added ~54% ending up with 67% of fuel..so more then he would need for a whole race while there were only 10laps to go.
Even though i only race online, the AI has improved alot. All they need imo is more consistency to be a good tool to get newer players up to speed
CTRA doesn't run testpatches on their public servers. Download X10 and u will see "CTRA race one" show up. U can find races there 24/7 and will usually find a friendly atmosphere. More then good enough to keep u busy till christmas.
But it's probably wise to choose your preferred car and practise the tracks offline a bit before u jump online though.
-Senior engineers who 'completely forget how they got the information' ..yep total, but still selective, amnesia is normall among intelligent people under 60 years old.
-Against all mclaren history and procedures an adaptive and cornerspecific brakesystem is developed and tested within a month of finding out the ferrari secrets.(with no evidence at all on their computers that they were working on it beforehand)
But ofcourse they just stumbled on it by chance and it has nothing to do with the knowledge they gained from ferrari.
-claims of knowing about a certain system since 2000-2001,but not using it for some odd reason till a month after the ferrari leak started in 2007 (With contradicting statements added ,one guy saying it was known since 2001. The other guy claiming they discovered it early in 2007,but even if its right after the leak..it has nothing to do with it and was purely developed inhouse.)
-FIA concluding most investigated parts cannot be proven to be stolen, but noting serious concern about the use of 3 systems in the 2008 design...and mclaren immediately asking a freeze on these 3systems so they can use them in 2008 without incurring a penalty.
Just a few of the most obvious parts...read the FIA report and then the mclaren report to see the others for yourselves.
It is like a bankrobber being followed to his house and the police finding huge amounts of numbered banknotes there..but the court decides it cannot be proven that those notes are from the robbery, even if all evidence states that the robber was dead poor and couldn't even afford to take the bus prior to said robbery.
I dont care if Mclaren stole a whole ferrari and painted it grey, claiming it is their car/design.
What I dont like is the blatant lies and coverup by the FIA all "in the interests of the sport"..would F1 really die if Mclaren fell back to 4th spot in 2008 and renault, BMW and ferrari finish in front of them for a few years? I don't think so, so why then is the FIA dropping it's case and forgetting it's own concerns about certain systems/idea's Mclaren is using in it's 2008 design?
(note that for now only F1-live reports about the FIA closing the investigation...but i see no reason for them to make it up)
Now the FIA dropped it's investigation because Mclaren apologised. Really strange.
Basically Mclaren admits to be still using stolen idea's, and ask for a possible freeze on them. (F1-live listed the 3 systems; CO-gas for the tires ; brakesystems and wheelbase ; but has now allready removed that part. )
Which to me sounds like they are begging to be able to use them or they would drop back to their 2006 performance level (or near to it), which ofcourse wouldn't suit wonderboy hamilton at all (nor the hami fanboys and Mc sponsors)
Next thing we know the WMSC drops it's investigation (on request of Max) and basically gives Mc the all clear.
They even have the nerve to call it "in the interests of the sport" and "In the interests of transparency"
Could some of this "extra" stability in LFS be down to there being no sand, dirt, oil from previous races, damp spots, broken tarmac ,rough patches, etcetc on our tracks. Making them a lot more predictable (or completely predictable) lap after lap then any track is in real life.
I'm no racedriver but i can imagine all those things adding up to a car that's more unpredictable and slides about more then our LFS versions do
Do u have any other USB devices plugged in?
Some lesser (mainly onboard) USB-chips cant handle the "traffic" multiple complex USB-devices throw at them and cause your pc to slow down.
Had a problem like that once with a USB-headphone and my wheel, so try unplugging any other device and see if the lag is still present.
U really should try a few things to help determine where it is going wrong. (please don't lock me up in a engine room with no airco at the operators desk if u already tried following suggestions. )
-install the latest firmware on your router, reset it to default settings (should be a button or procedure in the manual), put your Pc in the DMZ (don't care if u want to or not..u HAVE to try without your firewall settings for 5minutes) and try unlocking LFS.
-Install a linux build that can run LFS on your leisure laptop, hook it up to the net and try unlocking.
-connect to a free (local) dial-up ISP via a mobile on both your laptop and Pc and try unlocking ( to rule out your ISP)
If "ae-2.ebr4.NewYork1.Level3.net" really is the last hop in your trace somethings wrong as the LFS master server should be in the UK (or was it the Netherlands?)
-Haul your Pc and lfs-ready laptop to a friend or relative with internet and ...u got it... try unlocking. In case none live anywhere nearby, call the closest internet cafe and ask if u can hop by with your pc and laptop to test. (or find an open hotspot somewhere near flatbuildings or other high density housing if your laptop has a wireless NIC)
Can't think of much more, but trying those should give some clues to where the culprit resides.
Hope u can find a fix soon and start enjoying LFS ,with this whole unlocking saga being but a distant memory
why on earth would u do that scrabby?
Especially the 320mb version, every new game is designed with 512Vram in mind so dont expect a 320mb card to perform well in 2008.
I would simply preorder a new GTS, they will be in stock from 11/12 onwards. So preorder one and it will be shipped on 11/12. If u want to wait till they have stock ofc they will all be sold allready. (just like the 8800GT now)
