Is it working now? Because I'm getting "Pablo.CZ's hotlap has not yet been converted into RAF format. Please try again in a minute." message from yesterday, tried to reupload, but nothing happened.

Quote from DaveWS :Anyway, I've edited the .nke file, so that the pitch is now correct (I'm told Gills was planning on looking at this file too).

Here they are: http://www.mediafire.com/?jkaxmzvxjyb

Nice sound DaveWS, but it seem to me deeper than sound in Easton Creek video.

You can view hotlap replays made in version Z.

Previous thread was closed before I included download link.

I still have problems (in Z7 too) with SPR Z replays, I get replay OOS error.
(error in 15.29s - http://rapidshare.com/files/17 ... ablo_SO5_LX6_6th.zip.html)

Sometimes car looks like it is flying (car is not moving)

Quote from wheel4hummer :It depends on the car. Cars with variable effort power steering should feel like it has about equal resistance at any speed, I think. Seems to be the case with my car, at least. I happen to know that in my car, at 10mph or less there is 100% assist, and at 80mph or more there is 0% assist, and then it varies in between.

I'm talking about racing cars which don't have variable effort power steering, they don't have often power steering at all. You can feel almost no FF under 5km/h with GTRs, formulas, any LFS car. Even if they had variable effort power steering, there will be (like you said) something like equal resistance at any speed.

Quote from MikeB :Maybe this is related to the setup. There is a HUGE difference in steering resistance at lowspeed/standstill depending on setup geometry, diff settings, tire pressure etc.

I tried it with many setups (hard track, race_s, wr, mine) and there is difference in steering resistance, but it is not what I'm talking about. Decreasing steering resistance with lower speeds and "no" FF under 5km/h is there regardless of setup.

Quote from AndroidXP :That's probably because (it seems) the resistance due to rubber twisting isn't modeled.

But when you braking at standstill, steering resistance is much higher.

Almost no FF in low speeds

After several minutes in nKP I returned to LFS and I thought my force feedback is broken I started to investigate whats happened and realized that in low speeds there is almost no FF. Take for example XRR and turn with steering wheel from side to side in 40km/h, neutral. Do the same in 10km/h, 5km/h, 0km/h. IRL resistance from steering wheel is smaller in higher speed, in LFS bigger (I mean rolling, not agressive driving).

Great news!

Quote from Scawen :- Improve track shadow rendering

Scawen please when you'll be playing with shadows, make them darker under cars or some sort of multiply. Cars still looks like flying when in shadow.

Great patch, thx.

Quote from Scawen :Increased maximum number of car shadows from 8 to 16

Great! Is it possible to make option for 24 and 32? I'd like to have all cars with shadows. ( example where 16 isnt enough )

In FF, error message is "InSim Relay connection failed : Error #2048"

Patch Y 2 HL bugs

* You can get 45 or 30s penalty in HL mode
* Time isn't counting

How to reproduce:
1) hotlap / autocross / drag strip -> immediate start -> false start & time penalty
2) change track (FE, KY, ...)
3a) immediate start -> false start & time penalty & time isn't counting
3b) start after a while -> no penalty but time isn't counting too

You must change to another mode (single, ..) to back HL to normal.

Quote from R.Kolz :Here is my proposal:

I don't like to be engine repair a server side option. Its driver/team decision whether he should repair engine or its better to drive with damage. Its about race strategy.
Engine repairs as an option

In patch X30, we have new feature Engines are no longer repaired in pit stops. This is good for realism in short races, but I think we need an option for engine repairs in endu races (like 16h, 24h). Engine repairs has to be time consuming (like in real life), not 1min ones. Theoretically engine repair times should be in proportion to other repair times (suspension etc.).

This said Tristan about my suggestion in another thread and I agree with him:

Quote from tristancliffe :Engine repairs taking between 10 minutes and 5 hours would be a good thing too I suppose (as long as people can quit the repair option in the first minute so they don't have to sit through what is going to be a long stop in a 1 hour race!). And yo'd need a countdown really (so you can go and get a cup of tea safe in the knowledge the pitstop won't finish whilst you're not there)...

Quote from kompa :how about 2-5h?

No problem 10min was in comparsion with other repair times (you can repair whole suspension in 1-2min? now). If this times will be extended, engine repair time can be extended accordingly too.

Count me in

Tristan, you forgot to mention Damage repair is now a selectable option, Pit stop damage repair takes twice as long and Engines are no longer repaired in pit stops - this adds much realism as well. The last one needs to be an option, I think. In endu races like 24h engine can be repaired. Never mind if it takes 10min, but devs should give us this option.

SPR Replay OOS error, X10, time 35.21
It's my single player replay (3laps race with AIs), saved by key "1" after 1lap (= race wasn't finished). Similar replay (made when I was trying to reproduce this) worked fine.

LFS has plenty of unrealistic "components" and I don't want another one. You know BEFORE joining number of race laps and in what lap leader is - so if its 25 lap race and leader is in lap 5, you can have "warm up" in single player and join later.

Quote from The Very End :Driver A.

Driver B had the inner line in the corner, and he tried to not crash with giving room to drive A, A still didn`t give any room to driver B, so that`s A`s fault.

This wasn't friend's case. He tried fresh X install too (first post). This means all LFS files were original ones.
