Solved, but without finding problem reason..

Friend had bought new computer (AMD3800+/Ati1950GT or something like that ), reinstalled Windows and LFS mirror glitch is away.

Turning to virtual (and back to real) doesn't help, virtual mirrors has this glitch too. He'll try new Windows install on Monday.

Everything seems as problem with his system (because almost nobody has this glitch), but I don't know why patch W is without problems, something between W and X must have been changed, but I didn't find info about changes in mirrors except " Improved speed of mirror draw by using a narrow viewport" in X7.. But he has problem with X too..

New info: 6.8 fps is not normal, he has 60-64 fps with patch X (X10) just as with patch W. I don't know why there is 6.8 on screen, now it is 60-64 all the time.

Very interesting is, that mirror glitch disappear when options are displayed over the screen. After leaving options menu, glitch is there again . He realized this when he was trying to change mirror LOD as you suggested, but this (changing mirror LOD) doesn't help.

Just to make it clear:
I have 6800GS, no problems at all, 100+fps
Friend has 6600 (nonGT), no glitches with W (or older versions), glitches with X and X10.

He is rarely online, so I must wait and then we'll try your advices.

2Takumi_lfs: sorry, my english isn't good, maybe glitch is better word. I'm using 6800GS (GF440 & Ati 9500 in the past) and I have never had these graphics glitches too although I had all available test patches and my friend have had only official ones.

I'll send him your advice about mirror LOD and we'll see, but LFSn00b's post don't give me too much expectations.
Mirrors texture bug since patch X

My friend has mirrors texture problems with patch X and X10 (see attachment). Patch W without problems. He tried fresh X install too, different FOVs etc, but no success.
NVidia 6600 256MB, latest drivers, WXP

Replay OOS error

Replay OOS error reported in W10 (http://www.lfsforum.net/showth ... ;highlight=oos#post400150) is present at next patches W21 included. I can make new W21 OOS replays and old Wx OOS replays are OOS in W21 too.

After 1 lap spr race (me+19 AIs) I got "replay oos error" in 3:39 and replay stops playing. A had a unintentional pitstop after race in time +-3:39. For reproduce this, watch my car after finish in TV camera mode, I tried chase view after and no error occured.

[little OT]Many of us downloaded test patch from mirror sites, it can be much more then 2000 people. Maybe its better to provide test patches through autoupdater, but only if people manually type in "test patches 1" to cfg.txt and you will have exact number of patch instalations, not inexact number of downloads.

p.s.: I've no problems (opteron144, n6800gs, 1280x720, max LOD, FOV 70-85 (depends on car))[little OT]

In V5 patch ghost files are stored like BL1..ghost, not BL1.XRR.ghost (separatelly for each car) - probably LFS doesnt report currently used car just like before.

Hi, I'd like to make some points what I think would be nice to have in new multiplayer version:
* as many cars in race as possible (32 pits available in Blackwood); sometimes spectators are not needed (2h endu) and it's better to have 30-32 cars than 24 cars + 8 spectators (possibility to divide max number between cars and spectators in server ini)
* add some "hc" options, like shift+s and reset car restrictions -> it will be possible only retire (go to spectate) !! for others before moaning: only option and not default, we need this for leagues !!
* GO TO GRID button or something like that after race restart (I hate when someone go out, leave car somewhere on road and after restart this car will appear on start without "driver in it" and spoil race)
* new field in player options "team". If 2 players will have the same team, they will be in the same box (I mean 1+2 / 3+4 / 5+6 /...) and share the same repair area (yellow box on road) - I know there is some dificulties with rejoining and rearanging players if free space next to team mate is occupied, it can be done during race restart in this case and box number will be always noted in F12 screen.
(more players from one team can divide yourself by "abcteam 1", "abcteam 2" etc..)
* each player can use only his/his team repair area, this means only one, not whichever like now (box number noted in F12)

I have more suggestions, but I don't want to bother Scawier too much

I'm trying to make my own appl based on JInSim v0.3 and I have problems with getting

total time, split1 time, split2 time, split3 time, (last) lap time
front gap, back (rear) gap
actual lap number, total number of laps

"Other cars sound volume increased by 10%"

Is it possible to increase this volume by 50+% or add slider to audio options? And make other cars sounds audible from larger distance? IRL GTRs are very noisy and audible from hundreds of metres.
I raced FOX against group of GTRs and other cars are all the time silent and audible only from very small distance.

This will add atmosphere to the game (race).

How autoupdate exacly works if I have some modified files? I mean scripts, menu sounds, hi-res textures etc. Will be there replace question on each file?

p.s.: U33 has much better sounds than U32 and I think new sound engine is definitely better than old one, but please increase master volume. LFS is very silent (in comparsion to other games, mp3, videos, ..) and I have to increase sound card master volume before playing.

Sorry, I thought "test patch B" contains all files and I dont have to download old one too. My bad.

Any plan how to get race statistics/results with as much info as possible if raceID is known in v1.3? I didnt find anything in get_stat2_1.2.txt

U25 - I can still hear crackling - the same cracklink as when moving sound lag slider in options (WXP SP2, PCI sound card, everything OK in U20, DSound test OK with write ahead 0.01s)

Sounds remain in buffer after race - for example if I win and quickly end race, I can hear applause after next race start.

When you are in removing texts, imo there are more to remove, for example "AI1 finished ..." - I can see this in results table.

Becky, I have 2 problems with LFS Companion:
1. very small font, I have 2 WinXP installed and on both font is very small (see attached picture). But I saw normal font on other's screens
2. Relay.. I cannot get ghost car working. Ghost car mod using insim port 28888, I have Companion on 49999 and 28888 as relay port, is it right?
Another problem is that Companion often dont answer on my clicks, I have to close app and try again. For example insim outbound relays is 5min of "hard work" to enter some. Would be much better to have text .cfg file instead of binary.

Why so many people suggest more colors, more hud info and othes arcade like .... things?
I'll glad to see time gaps for the guy in front and in back and lap number when entering next lap (see attached gtr2 example - lap number is my addon, not in picture), so I could swith off all other arcade crap (shift+f) except flags and admin messages. LFS is my favourite sim but I don't like arcade like look of hud when racing - this would be most welcomed improvement for me.
