Quote from Inouva :To exesive Motion blur , to exesive Bloom , To exesive HDR , and the list keep rolling , the only i see good is the shaders , nothing more

I've been away for weeks, but I just had to come back to say:

There's no bloom and no HDR, so well done. Stop bitching about the graphics just because your 4 year old rig can't run it.

It's reasonable fun for a while. On the OGRE forums one of the devs mentions the demo is fairly old and some bugs have been fixed. Won't be buying it for full price, seems like a perfect bargain-bin purchase to me.

Quote from MINIz guy :I'm serious. Drop your cell phone in the toilet when it's off, or turn it off right after and let it air out for a few days until it is completely dry. The phone should be fine after.

Battery still connected = death.

I believe the OP has lost of accounts and wants a program to manage them all.

Often people need lots of email addresses, I know have around 5 different business emails alone, but it's fine as they are all managed in Mail for OSX.

Quote from The Very End :I would chose GMAIL.
It's easy, yet advanced if you want it to be. Got a lot of, and I mean A LOT, almost 7GB now, of storage. It's almost never down for maintaince or anything, I think I in the time of 4 years of use now has seen it down maybe.. well 6-7 times.
It's allways secure, and easy to configurate. Spam mail comes to spam, and if not just mark them as spam, and you'll don't see them in your inbox no more.
Ofc I have not tested it with a account registrert to 30 pr0n sides and commercial sites, but gmail seems to be one of the safest programs to use.

And, one BIG +, most of the mail clients, such as Microsoft outlook only saves mail on the computer. Now let's say you screws your PC...too bad the mail will be gone too. You can luckly have the server to spare a copy, but it's not put on as deffault.

Webmail is no botter - it is there, forever, and you can access the mails from any darned computer you might want to log on from.

Yes but then you'd have to forward mail from all you addresses to a single webmail, ie Gmail, and then sort it depending on where it came from. No good.

I'd agree with Thunderbird for windows. Unfortunately some ISPs only allow webmail unless you pay. Yahoo might be one of them.

You could quite happily underclock it Jack. I used a 7300LE with mine, the real budget one that I just grabbed from a Dell we have. I think due to the fact no image processing is done on the second card it'd be fine.

Sadly I can't remember the ins and outs of it without looking at the site, but I'm pretty sure it'll tell you all it there.

What the hell do you get with these tutorials? As that's a LOT of money for something you could do for free pretty effectively.

Quote from danowat :Does'nt alter the fact that the problem is there though does it

Nope not at all, didn't mean to belittle it. However I do think once it's out of the public eye there will be less push to solve it, as with a lot of things.

Quote from TAYLOR-MANIA :I think the media coverage on all these recent knife crimes isn't really helping the situation a great deal.

Exactly.

I'm not saying knife crime is OK, or that it should exist. But the media, as always, controls what people think. Right now people are all against knife and what should be done etc etc. Give it two weeks and everyone will have forgotten and we'll be back to something else, fuel prices probably.

Not that it was ever funny, but you get my point.

The rise hits the US harder though as we are buffered by high tax. Thus when ours rises 10%, it can be what, 50% higher in the US?

8.9hp engine? WTFGTFO.

Quote from Gills4life :
The Historic mods sounds are really cool yea but if you pic for example the Pantera.. go try the game now, turn the engine on. The starter sound is awesome right ? Now the starter sound stops .... wtf happened. The engine sounds totally different to the starter sound
Its an awesome mod, better than any other rF mod imo, and i dont blame the devs of this mod for the sound because it is like this in all other rF mods that I have tried

Yer I totally agree, god knows what's up with the starter sounds on all of those games/mods. They're all fairly bad, that said how many times do you start the engine in a race?

No I didn't say that at all. I'm getting pretty sick of people (not just you) not being able to read. If you notice, I used the word "better". Which it would be.

Sure you could tune the standard 1.6 up nicely, people have done. Not sure why you even mentioned that though as I was talking about getting a low model variant and doing it up.

I have no doubt the German engines are tunable, however I have no experience with them at all, so I can't really comment.

Well because it could be better with a different engine. Not really a hard concept to understand, people have done engine swaps in cars before.

You wouldn't have to chop up the bodywork at all, you have to remember here I actually know what I'm talking about so making passing comments like that isn't really going to lead anywhere. That said I know people who have chopped them up (and other other Fiesta's) and fitted Cossie engines and running gear etc. Again this isn't unheard of in the car modifying/building world.

I seem to remember a few posts back you saying you were more passionate about cars due to your likes/dislikes. I think we've shown in this thread you don't really know a lot about them, which is fine, but doesn't really give you a leg to stand on when it comes to valued opinions.

edit: Yes the 16v Zetec is bigger than the engines available in the MK1, but to be pedantic the 2.0 and 1.6 are exactly the same physically outside.

Quote from LiveForBoobs :Some users wont play because they can't be bothered to register, those we don't need anyway. The ones that really want to join find a wrecking-free environment, so they are more likely to want to buy S2.

Oh yer defo agree it's a good thing to have.

Particularly interested in this aspect as I have been recently been collaborating on a project that requires users to sign up to get access to rich content, and have been working through the ways to make it as easy as possible and hopefully not put too many people off

Interested to see what affect that'll have on newcomers to the game, or more precisely the rate of expansion.

Tbh people seem to be giving a sample based sound system far too much flack. It's hardly 'on or off', and I have to say the sounds in the Historic mod for example offer far more immersion than the LFS system.

I'd rather send them the money I'd save on electricity than run my machines flat out all the time. Cba to have fans whirring at full speed and heat being pumped out into the house, when someone else with a folding farm can do 100x times what I could.

I don't know what it is exactly. However today I installed rFactor again, got the new popular mods (Corvette, Historic GT and Caterhams) and a few nice tracks. Pulled the MOMO out of the wardrobe (where its been for 6 months or so) and got everything set up. I've literally only just stopped playing, 8 hours on.

With these user-content based games people always bang on about how a large proportion of mods are bad, but similarly there are a large number of VERY good, entertaining mods out there.

LFS on the other hand, well, I havn't played online for god only knows how long, maybe 18 months? There's just nothing new to keep me playing. 6 months on and we've got some interior updates and more languages. Great. Try sorting the game out first, then look to increase your user base by adding languages.
