Quote from P5YcHoM4N :I get stuff from Amazon damn near next day every time, even when I don't select next day.

Me too, and once when I ordered next day delivery (£9) and Royal Mail failed to bother to turn up with it, Amazon refunded me the postage cost the same day.

Personally I have nothing but praise for Amazon

I played 1.6 for a few months but quickly moved on to Source, which I prefer. I tend to play Gungames the most as they're good for getting skilled with nearly every weapon, and they offer a fast style gameplay without it turning into a deathmatch akin to Unreal Tournament or something.

I'm yet to play CoD4 online, but I doubt it'll beat CS:S for me. I'm not quite sure what it is, but nothing seems to be as solid (for want of a better word) as CS. It just plays so well.

I used to play it a lot, but weirdly girls call 5 hours a day or so antisocial (and it was taking up stupid amounts of my time tbf), so now I hardly play it at all.

It can be very rewarding if you're good, and very frustrating if you're not.

It's stereotyped as being full of whining script-kiddies always using hacks etc, but if you know where to look you can soon build up a big list of quality servers with good guys in.

I don't think there's a demo though, but if you know anyone with it they may have a spare guest pass which alows full online play for a few days.

Try this invaluable advice!

Haha classic.

But seriously you won't get a virus from just browsing the forums. To be honest with you I havn't run anti-virus for ages now but I can guarantee you that I don't have any viruses - they're actually pretty hard to pick up from everyday browsing. The issues really only start when people use warez/pr0n sites etc.

Quote from Eleanor SpeedGT :All Core Solo series.
All Core Duo series.
All Core 2 Duo series.
All Quad Core series.
All Celeron-M 400 series.
All Pentium E2000 and E2100 series.
All Dual Core Low Voltage Xeons series (Yonah based. Untested).
All Xeon 3000, 3200, 5100, 5300 series.

Well intel celeron is Core Solo processor.

A Celeron is not a Core Solo - a Core Solo is a Core Solo, a Celeron is a different architecture.

Use Intel's Thermal Analysis Tool. That will give you acurate readings.

How are you supposed to use it, layed flat on the desk? I guess there's just not a big market for them, hence the expense.

I've only ever owned one Benq product, a keyboard, and it broke.

Plus I'd never go back to TN now, having owned better panels.

Quote from sam93 :Yes but on my pc I can change the pc's MAC Address

No, you are changing the MAC address that is reported by your OS. You can still restore the hardware MAC address.

Edit: Furthermore your PC doesn't have a MAC address, your NIC does, therefore you can have multiple address per machine.

Quote from sam93 :Very true about mac filters actually, it is really easy to change your mac address, people who don't know this just have a look through your connectivity propertise and have a look, you will soon find the tab what allows you to change you mac address.

I'm pretty sure you aren't changing your MAC address, merely reporting a different one.

Who the hell cares if WEP is easy to crack? I'm just gona put this out there: approx 99.999999% of households with wireless encryption will never be targeted for attack, however possilby 50% of those will be found by wireless devices. If there's no encryption anybody can just jump in and use the connection, however simple WEP is likely to stop the majority of the population from stealing wireless network traffic.

Additionally a lot of devices still don't support WPA-PSK so it's a no-go.

Quote from Dajmin :
I also stand corrected on the MR2/355 issue. Those ones are much better than the ones I've seen. And the MR2 is RWD, right? So at least it's a better match

Yer they can look ok, but tbh they are always a bit disproportioned. I can never put my finger on what it is exactly, but having seen loads at various kit car shows, somethings always makes them look 'not quite right'.

Nothing's undeletable, maybe it just 'reinstalls' itself back to the same location when you delete it. The source of the problem is probably elsewhere tbh.

Quote from Crashgate3 :Give it a few years. Once they get DX10 sorted out properly and cards get proper unified drivers and architecture, they'll be able to do physics calgulations in the GPU itself, one thing that's stopped dedicated physics cards really taking off.

You don't need DX10 etc to do calculations on the GPU - I've done a small amount of work simulating fluid dynamics on the GPU (in C++), and you don't need anything massively quick to produce so pretty impressive results.

Quote from Widdowmaker :Well - I'm no expert and the issue resolves it self when there is only 2 sims in, so cant thiunk what else it would be. It cuts out just like a lack of power issue - with no errors reported.

Dont know what else it could be.

I'd be inclined to say a faulty stick somewhere in there. I used to have a PC that occasionally restarted randomly - like a power supply issue, however I changed pretty much every component over time apart from the ram and it still did it. I guess one of the sticks was faulty, however it only happened maybe once every 2 weeks so I didn't ever bother replacing them.

Quote from Widdowmaker :Yeah - having issues with the Memory itself - its extremely power thristy running the low latency timings.

Surely not dude. I run that ram at I think those timings - possibly 4-4-4-12 and my 580W PSU copes fine, as you'd expect.

Compared to the cpu and GTX in there the ram uses a small amount of power. I think the issue lies somewhere else myself.

Don't just go on wattage alone, that's not a measure of quality - or loudness for that matter.

If I was buying a new PC speaker set now it would have to be these: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/106173 however they may be slightly over your budget. Failing those maybe look at the Logitech Z2300s: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/74747 or the higher end Creative speakers.
