Just added a few of you on XBL (p4blo32), got Forza on fri but I've been away all weekend so will start playing tomorrow, look forward to racing with you guys
Exactly, just to add that I'm 21, have no degree, dropped out of uni to continue my passion of web development (of which I now have 2 years full time experience) and have recently applied for about 5 jobs, gotten 3 interviews and 1 definite offer already (which I turned down) - which in this 'economical climate' isn't too bad I guess. Not once was I asked why I don't have a degree.
As it happens I actually joined linkedin the other day, but haven't got around to setting a profile up yet. At the moment I am lucky enough to have the liberty to be very specific about the work I choose to do, so I'm not sure it'd benefit me right now.
Today my 2 year old BFG 8800 GTS OC started artifacting, causes system crashes etc, so basically it needs RMAing. Apparently the BFG RMA service is pretty damn good, but seeing as the card is so old, any ideas what I'll get in return?
..RS servers are plenty fast enough. Simultaneous downloads will easily max out any UK connection.
The problem is non-instant releases (who cares?) and links being removed, not that hard to find alternatives though, and much better than slogging away with file sharing.
Yah but, you do have to factor in other expenses such as insurance and tax etc. However, it's true, owning a car is by far the cheapest form of motorised transport in the UK, and more comfortable than public transport, and means you don't have to mingle with the masses :P
Yeah did this on my iPhone a few months ago as Dad wanted a cheap GPS tracking system that could be used to send positional data over 3G or slower connections. Good luck with battery life having the GPS running all the time though.
Yeah dude that's not a good shout, phone calls from the GF ALWAYS take priority over games, or pretty much anything I'm doing for that matter But then that's because she's away working for 10 weeks and we only get to see each other every other weekend, so phone calls are a necessity - thank god for my 1200 minutes every month, the iPhone contract paid off
However, say you are sitting 50cm away from a 24" monitor, with minimal trig you can see your up/down viewing angle is ~20 degrees each way. Far from perfect, and would cause problems with a TN.
Yeah cos it's pretty easy to run a site that serves a couple of hundred million people (not a billion). Serving up 400,000 images per second is basically the same as ABC.
