First of all, are you able to ping other computer, and if other computer are able to ping your computer..

Which firewall did you turn off, Windows Firewall or Another Firewall Software such Zonalarm or Mcafee !!

try disabling Windows Firewall, it block all incoming connection, so if it's enabled, nobody can reach or ping your computer !!!

try that and write your result !!

+1, Sudden reboot is often because your hardware is overheating, Almost of time, it's your processor, is it overclocked ??, the fan is it working ?, you can do monitoring with "SpeedFan", or other little software,

Maybe it can be your graphic card, but in most case it only freeze the computer !! and you can see a lot of glitch in your screen (polygon) 1-2 minutes before freezing !!!

the last thing i can see is your powersupply is damaged, really dirty or inapropriate for your hardware,

V for the shape of the engine, not for the number of valve.. a W12 have 48 valve :-) it's called W because cylinders are not inline like Standard's V-block.. Both have 6 cylinders each side, but on the Wblock, cylinders are alternatively up and down... it make a shorter block too because they can reduce unused space betweed cylinders,

Verify tha your value contain a coma(,) and not a dot(.) if it contain coma, the software did not recognize the value and pop up an error !!

maybe a lot of person know that, but take a look at his question.. He want to know how many time he can play online with 1gb of bandwidth.. and after that in an other post, he spek about a 152kbps speed test...

i wanted to be sur that he understand than calculating bandwidth speed of 152kbps and 1 GB of transfert is impossible !!!

Dividing by 10 seems to work, but its nor very accurate.....
(1Mb * 1024) = 1024
1024 / 8 = 128ko/s and not 100
2048 / 8= 256ko/s and not 200
4096 / 8= 512ko/s and not 400, 100ko/s of difference...... downloading a big file such a movie (700mb) at 100ko/s take up to 2hour :-P it's worth calculating it ....

but where is the difficult, just mutiplying by 1024 and divide by 8 :-P... one more step but result is better and faster than you think....

As i said in my first post, I've done a lot of test with 3G connection at work, a lot of workmate need to work in train etc.. and bandwith was variable. I've been able to reach 100ko/s of download and 30k/s of upload, rarely better, much often worst ..... its a good connection to watch website, e-mail, documentation. So its perfect in the case that you didn't need a constant fast and reliable connection*.
Playing online it's something else... 1Gb of transfert to play lfs in a month is more than needed. But i'm sure you'll gonna have some connection problem with the Up and down bandwith speed...

and please do convertion to ko/s, by divising your KBPS by 8 ....
it is Just the ISP talking about KBPS, because its theorical, and it seems so faster......
7 MBPS and not 7mo/s is my advice broadband speed
i can download near 900ko/s so take a look at this

(7 MBPS * 1024) = 7168 kbps
(7168kbps / 8) = 898ko/s -> 900ko/s......

after you convert your speed, to KO/s, it will be easier to verify if you need a bigger bandwith limit !!!.. because you cannot verify it, by comparing KBPS directly to your 1GB limit :-P

First of all, if you want to Convert KBPS to ko/s just divise per 8, you'll have a understandable result.. KBPS are often Theorical, but never reach...

if you want to meter your transfert Live, try DUmeter software with the clockwatch option, you can start timer when you want and close it when you want, so you start clockWatch, start LFS, play as long as you want and when you're bored, close LFS and check how much bandwitdh you've used...

But if you used a Usb Mobile card. to a wireless Network such as Cellular phones, your bandwith speed go up and down, dependly of where you are (kind of wall, distance of the tower, i've done a lot of test at my work, and yes its suprising how Webpage can open fast, but i've test iin another desk, and my transfert was slower.....

Nothing can beat Modem cable, with a wired Router..... its fast, and the bandwith does'nt cost an arm !!!!

i don,t even check the driver option, i'm the only the use my computer so never need a "usefull" option like that !!!

maybe if you do a script that change the controllerconfig.con before starting game can resolve temporary your problem eheheh

put each controllerconfig.con in different folder, do a script that delete the file present in lfs, change for the one that you Want, ex. Myself, Brother, sister..... and then a line to start LFS...

you can change the path of your folder anytime,,, so nothing is written in the registry!!!, the installation is compressed file, and not a real installation, in other word, it extract and copy files where you want... nothing more :-)

but LFS retain always the last setting used, i didn't want than my game lost its setting when i close it, i cannot undertsand how it could work in other way... and i don't even understand how you believe that the computer know who is at the keyboard....

did you use 3 copy of LFS on the same computer, else do it,ans put it in different folder you'll be able to keep your personalized setting for each installation... Put 1 shortcut on your desktop for each installation , and write your name beside LFS....

easier way to resolve your problem ......

and S14_Drift, have you aver be able to change your account without locking, and unlocking LFS each time, if you do it, you will take all your unlock left in a week.... not very usefullll

yes it is possible to run the dedi host and the client in same time, for your problem, maybe you've made an error in portforwarding configuration and, try to disable windows firewall, to see what happen. don't forget taht you have 2 routers so its more complicated to do port formarding !!

if you try dedi and client on your computer i suggest you to use your localhost adress, or your internal network adress to connect on your dedi, else your client will pass through internet, using bandwidth and slowing your connection !!!

why don't you only use the Motorola VT2442, there is a router included !!!

i understand that we cannot use the H pattern gear box for all open wheel, Bf1 etc.. but i've buy my G25 only to play LFS and because i was bored to have sequential shifter, my favorite car is the FXR and i dont use open wheel car....

GrrrRrRRr now can i ask to dev to refund my G25 ahah its a joke but i did'nt like this decision

We cannot compare those wheel in arcade, with our personnal wheel at home, those of arcade are made to be abused, are not accurate, turn only 180 degrees, FF is maybe strong, but you're sitting in front of a big box where it easy to intall a big electric motor, and where the weight is not important

the difference between them is like day and night, Wheel is very precise, FF very strong and Precise, it doesnt make loud sound, you can have more than 4 speed, Leather wheel grip, try it and you'll buy it !!! but it sure its not made all of Metal,

the shifter is a bit fragile, but with some time you'll be able to shift rapidly without abusing of it,

if you use a router, when you type ipconfig /renew, its a Local ip adress but your internet ip adress that your router had stay the same... so the master server recongnize you

almost Provider of my region always give the same adress to the modem and i didnt think its possible to change

manually setting the ip adress maybe will work but im not sure, it depend of the ISP setup like The_angry_angel said !!!
