well it will work when it works from what i gather it was a complete control panel crash thats a lot of work especially at this busy time of year

but its not the server machine thats important its the network infrastructure where the machine is based , and tech support

ah well my post was information for franky if he wasnt aware the control panel is really really slow as the ticket i meantioned i had put in before i posted and it completed after i posted here , so i think hes at work on the problem , its not a problem really ,just an excuse to involve myself in real life a little more hopefully they are working on it and should be resolved soon .

huston theres a problem host not found on master server , i can log on to control panel but im not able to access anything tried the support ticket that doesnt seem to work , i know you are doing maintaince this week but the servers been down since 6:10am ,and you informed the max down time would be approx 10 mins , so im assuming as its been 4/5 hour this wasnt planned .

to be honest your computer isnt that low spec if you can run it on full settings i know people who play on medium settings and get 15 to 25 fps so your computer for the purposes of lfs is high spec

well i do see it from both points of view but it does seem fairest the way its done now, but what the original poster has not taken into account most people who hold an s2 licence i know customise with hi-res textures of just about everything but car skins , also he says why not direct dl from the person who is wearing it , well in a perfect internet environment this would be all well and good , but as its not perfect the most stable way of doing it is from a centalised point as lag is a real issue on a busy server ,and also it is more than likely done this way to stop everyone having each others ip as well , as some people do take racing seriously enough to attack another user via their ip who in their mind cheats with no proof 1 way or the other

well as a disabled driver with only the use of 1 arm and 1 leg the horn is invaluable as i drive in the cockpit view only gtrs i drive in a right hand position and cannot see down the left of my car,as i cant use the look function ,its handy for other drivers to let me know their there by tooting their horns, also there is an option for those players who dont want their horn goto options and deselect a key for the horn . or delete the horn sounds on your install of lfs . or for those who want to keep horns lobby every racing official body to make a horn a requirement in real racing lol , so this is my thoughts on this .
At the end of the day lfs is targeted at the many rather than the few i would like the horn extended to single seaters and maybe a server option that would allow horns or no horns.
Or you could write an insim that the packet to do with horns isnt recieved by all players yes i am primarily a cruiser but i do like to race all the cars
I personally wouldnt race on a no horns server apart from single seater as they have no horns anyway .
I do use the the name "pass me here >>>>" in an effort to stop accidents but this is ignored so ive found the best way is for me to rely on other peoples horn

well all cars having the posibility roof light bars would be ideal for endurance events where you race for a set time not set laps as reset been on does repair the car this does seem unrealistic as for example on a rally marshals will roll a turtled car back on its wheels with no repairs (as it used to be im not a fan of how it is now ) so safety cars and tow trucks with lights would be a good idea .
in an ideal world i think having a tow truck as a car choice would be good but probably improbable in lfs .

well lol nfsu2 hmmmmmm have these people never driven a real car lol yes it may have nicer graphics and a story line but they physics are far superior in lfs . nfsu2 as far as im aware no longer has an official online game , mind it was a bit of a joke in comparision to lfs.
if your looking for entertainment on your own well perhaps nfsu2 is for you ,if your looking for realism gotta be LFS in my book ive been playin for 3 years if u include demo nfsu2 has been on my shelf gathering dust lol

well racism is a term that i have no need for personally but i think if someone is a racist they should really keep it to themselves as it only sturs up trouble (and to be honest in years to come i can see colour of skin wont matter with all the mixed race families we will eventually end up the same colour skin so whats the point of arguing now lol )
