Wow! That thing just looks scary!!And to Cue-Ball, yep I am only playing on a 17" and it isn't widescreen. Getting a bigger monitor is also easier said than done. I only get £200 a month (part time work) so it'd take me 2 months to afford a decent sized widescreen monitor. And did I mention I suck with money? Lol, I can't last 2 minutes if I have money!

I appreciate all the replies I'm getting the impression though that you think I'm slagging the game off for this, I'm not! I really do enjoy the game, and I think I'm getting quite good at it now.

I wish there was a chair to simulate the G-Force, because like you guys say you don't experience the fear/effects you would in a real car.

Going to be a while untill I can get an S2 license though! Don't get paid untill the end of June! :sadbanana

I'm using the Logitech G25 steering wheel. I have the settings for the wheel in the game controllers options set to 720 degrees and in game set to 540 degrees.

I'm only playing the demo so the car setups are default, and I'm using that first car out of the 3 in the demo (the one that isn't RWD)

I did have the settings in game set to 720 degrees, which followed the animation on screen perfectly, but now I have set it to 540 the cornering seems better...

If there are any people here that use the G25, any chance you could tell me the exact settings you have in the steering wheel settings and the game settings? It would be really appreciated.

Oh and P.S. My Dad has driven on race course before but I dunno what car he drove. He basically says a car wouldn't spin out of control so much at such low speeds. And my Brother has only been driving a few years but he has driven fast around sharp corners before and they haven't slid around so much.

Either way I am really enjoying the game.

Hey guys, I've only been playing this game (The alpha version) for a day or so, and so far I've been really enjoying it. I don't drive, but my Dad and Brother do, and I got them to have a go on it to see whether it was realistic, I let them have a go on all 3 cars in the demo, and they both commented on one thing.

Why do the cars corner like they're driving on ice?!?!

I thought this was possibly quite realistic but I also wondered why a car would veer off the road like it was a car with worn down tyres on ice when I was only going about 40 or 50 kmh.

I also tryed all the tyre types, but no joy, the offroad ones were worse (understandibly, because I was on concrete) but you would've thought the hard ground ones would hold you on the concrete whilst going relatively slow.

So is this game that realistic?????

The bots are the worst for being "ungentalmanly" They just ram into the back of you and don't take any regard to you being there. Those darn bots

I bought the Logitech G25 racing wheel yesterday and so far am loving it. I've played 3 different games with it, rFactor, GTR 2 and this. And I'm not just saying this because I'm on these forums, but LFS is by far the best. It's the only one out of the 3 you have to use the clutch in and it's such a joy to play.

Nice to be here and hopefully I'll be buying the S2 license tonight, see you all on the track!

Thanks alot, works now! And WOW I love this game. I love it more than GTR2 and rFactor because you actually have to use the clutch and they're more real world cars instead of totally suped up racing machines. (Even though they're cool aswell of course, I just prefer realism) I'll definately be buying this.

One more problem though, the steering is a bit weird. The animation on screen turns the wheel faster than I do, basically I turn it only 45 degrees one way and he's already done a full rotation.

In the settings I have it on 90 degrees, I tried 900 degrees and I only turned the wheel very slightly and the wheel was spun fully... Strange. It isn't a huge problem though it's still more than playable, would just be nice if the on screen wheel movement was exactly the same as the wheel movement I'm doing.

Right guys, still getting problems. I tried inverting both throttle and brake but it's a bit weird. I seem to have cocked it all up now. There are meters on the right hand side in the axis tab, and it seems the throttle and brake are on the same meter. Acceleration increases the meter and braking decreases it, and when nothing is pressed it stays in the middle. I can't seem to get it right, I tried inverting them and all, but still no good!

Argh!

I have to go to work now, but I'll check that one I'm back.

Hey guys, I've looked around and can't find anyone else with this problem.

I got the Logitech G25 racing wheel today, and it's great. Works great in GTR 2 and rFactor. I was interested in giving it a go on this game too so I got the S2 Alpha to give it a try.

The problem is, in the options it's seeing as my accelerator and brake pedal as being fully pushed in all the time when they're not. I've tryed fully pushing them in then letting go but no good. I know it isn't the wheel itself because it works on everything else perfect, but just on this game I'm getting this problem.

If anyone has any answers atall it would be appreciated, I really wanna play this game!
