Quote from mcintyrej :If you click anywhere on your other monitor then you can't use LFS anyway. Just use full screen and switch out of it with Shift+f4.

But then it is unloaded from the vram.

Quote from ColeusRattus :And in how does LfS benefit from it? Honestly, I can't see any use in removing the borders from windowed apps.

You can run a slightly higher resolution, and not have the lame borders. All while being able to access your other monitor while not having to minimize lfs.

Dunno, Valve just added it to all their games. Best feature ever I might add.
No border

LFS needs a no border option for the windowed mode.

Basically its still the windowed mode, but w/o the border around it.

Quote from xaotik :I suspect he means going airborne - I imagine that a shorter front would mean a nasty nose dive and flip.

Nice work there, (Off)Roadie.

Nah, it helps keep the front end down.

One of these are on the "to build" list next..

Quote from Scrabby :Roadie: that's some good work there, but if would have made front a bit shorter but hey!

Well, you want a longer front for shooting up sand dunes...

Well the UF1 has a long stroke I would imagine, since it has like 65ft/lbs of torque @ 3000rpms.. Longer the stroke = more torque.

Sorry about the bike!

But wow, what a bunch of un-prepared safety marshalls... They actually expected to put out the fire with those tiney extinguisers?

What if the rider was traped under the bike and couldn't get out? It took them way to long to get to the burning bike...

Well, I can add some real life temp results... Before an autox run, I set my front tires to 42psi. The tires were about air temp, so ~65F. After the run, I checked the pressure and it read 51psi. The tires I would say were about ~110-120F by the feel of my hand on them as I forgot my digital thermometer. So, a 9psi rise for ~45 degrees. 9psi is a pretty large increase imo.

There is no such thing as a first gear lock out... It's just that most transmissions have a weak first gear syncro.. Why? Because you aren't supposed to be shifting into first at 30+mph... Keep trying, and you won't be able to get it into first even when you are stoped as your syncro will be gone.

Quote from burnsy1882 :i don't really see any difference between a Torsen and a regular Clutch-Pack, but it would be nice to see in LFS, to actually compare the two, to see which is better for a specific car in LFS.

Well with a clutch type lsd, you can have one wheel with 0 traction, and one with traction, and it will still be able to send power to the wheel with traction unlike the Helical LSD.

Quote from JeffR :LFS already has limited slip differentials.

Ugh.. Did you read my thread? The only "real" LSD, LFS has is a clutch type LSD... In my opinion the Viscous LSD fails...

Besides the Open, Locked, Clutch, and Viscous. I'm curious as to what other opinions are on a Helical LSD...
