Thanks mate, and yeah looks like I have :P Although I wasn't really pushing at all throughout the race, I just wanted to finish. I'll be pushing a lot harder in the 'real' race
I had an immense start! Perfect! Stayed in the lead until lap 34 then I had a bit of an 'off' coming out of T1 which allowed Adam to pass. I was doing well, knowing that Texas was on a two stop strategy, I let him catch me and didn't really push at all, then he budged me coming into chicane on lap 52. That cost me well over 15 seconds, I could have probably won otherwise :P
Up to a point, I usually turn it off when coming out of a chicane, like at BL1. Normally the TC would kick in when bouncing over the kerb, but when TC is off, you end up coming out of the chicane with an extra 3/4mph. You only need to watch Pearcy's BL1 WR to see that.
But anyway, as long as you turn it off at the right time, the small amount of wheelspin that is generated gives the car more momentum and can make you faster.....
I think BL1, not BL1R (You've no idea how bad this track is to drive reversed, especially with fuel - everyone goes off at turn 4) Plus BL1 is a classic track, with lots of competition as pretty much everyone can get within 1.5 secs of WR.
All the other tracks seem fine, but I hate SO tracks lol
No TC just wouldn't work in LFS. The majority would spin in race due to the fact that we can't really feel the level of grip. We just sorta guess and hope it's there. Although like Paul said, it's good to turn it off at some corners and chicanes, like the final chicane at AS3 and the fast chicane at WE1 (My 2nd sector pb there is about 2 tenths under WR due to no TC )
