Why is there ... at the end of fatigue, is there more lol?

I don't even know where my local library is, wait, oh yes I do, it's next to co-op lol.

Or, I could just download the ebooks about it and not have to bother about the library.

I know loads of people go on about engineering and how you have to know about it before building say a race car, but it must all be self teachable because the first person to discover this stuff had to self teach himself lol.

I think my parents have unlimited NCB.

I like in Jakg's post where it says if the car is modified, it isn't the parents. The thing is, I know parents who have modified cars, so that's just bollocks in my opinion, just because it's modified, doesn't mean a young driver, drives it.

Like I said, I will most likely get my own insurance.

It's what I have been playing for a while.

Buy the car with money I've earnt and then sell my bike, put a bit more money towards it and buy a 2000 SV650S as they insurance is only like £300-£400 for one of those, so I should be able to afford it. Going to see what my wages are like by then though before I do it.

And I am no longer in a pissed off mood lol.

No, I'm not just in the mood for gobby buggers atm.

The named driver thing was an idea, but for the extra £500, I might aswell just insure it myself, just means I will be paying close to £200 a month for insurance as I want to buy an SV650S with the money I get off of my motorbike.

I wasn't implying that I am going to build one, I was just curious, welding isn't exactly hard once you obviously learn how to do it lol.

I have a question about these people who buy a car and then build their own chassis for the car which weighs less (space frame chassis)

Basically my question is, if you put all mounting points in the right place and make the chassis strong enough with good welds can anyone make a chassis without going college/uni?

Everything is self teachable so I am wondering how hard it will be to teach yourself. There is a guy on Street Stylers Southwest who is building a viper kit car which is going to be used as a track car and he has built his own chassis for it and he is self taught.

What other things do you have to take into consideration when building chassis's?

I'm in a category D part of Plymouth (even though no crime happens like that around this part) So it's £1700 TPFT for me or £1200 TPFT if my Dad takes a policy out and puts me as a named driver, if my Dad does take a policy out for me, I might go FC as it's only £1400 - an extra £200.

A Mustang as a first car in England? lol, do you know how high the insurance prices are in the UK?

I would be getting an E36 318is if the insurance wasn't high, but the 316i is £1,700 TPFT whereas for an extra 40bhp and a bit more torque, the 318is is £3,000.

So really, it's the best BMW I can get for cheapish insurance costs.

I may get a E36 as what I was going to do to the E30 has been done before down here and the guy is now taking it to the next stage of cutting away metal that isn't needed, for example where the spare wheel goes and is then getting replaced with light alloy sheets, basically a pure track car/race car.

So I am now going to do my plans on a E36 instead.

Who was the one that was excited because he might be getting his brothers bodykitted Corsa for a first car? Sure, my mondeo looks ricey, but i bet if we posted comparision pics on here and told people to pick one to drive, then they would pick mine.

If I get a Skyline for my next car (R33 GTST) when I'm about 20/21 I already have plans for it, if the R34 Turbo has came down by then I will get the R34 instead, same type of mods will still come a long anyway. Skyline engines are suppose to be nice to tune also, so will deffently have the power to back it up, will get the cosmetics and such like done first though as they will end up costing more.

You could probably get insured on a 1.6 model relatively cheaply, as there "under the radar" in terms of typical first cars, as alot of the boy racers see them as an old mans car, which is good. There not particularly fast, and the interiors are'nt the greatest, but they handle well and are fairly reliable.

Yes they are reliable, but I don't see myself every owning one, only reason why my Dad has one is because they are pretty cheap to buy and it doesn't matter if it gets dirty inside lol.

I do like the way though you call people ricers when your Mondeo is bloody terrible looking lol, are you going to get rid of that hidious bodykit lol.

He couldn't afford the parts most likely, I think they come with a LSD on them which breaks all the time. With it being a mercedes and cosworth parts wont be cheap.

Just get the E30 Ginho
