Quote from ColeusRattus :well, I asumed that anyone would kno that it sounds different inside than out. It still doesn't mean that most people turn their bass volume up way too high. Even in my standard crappy boxes, the trim of my doors start to vibrate if I boost the bass up to it's maximum...
Also, this whole chav(bass thing actually proves my point: the high frequencies are cancelled out whiled riving, the thing that remains is bass, thus having a "good" car audio system is totally useless.

No, from a distance you hear the bass more, because of the longer waves bass has, they travel further. That's just plain physics.
You ever seen a concert from a distance? All you hear is bass. But when you're right up front at the stage the music sounds sick

And like you say: standard crappy boxes... Yes, your panels with vibrate, will it sound good? Hell no!
If I turn up my sound I can shake whole my car, but I don't do that.
Certain songs with a good bass in it can make me get goosebumps all over, I never got that before with standard speakers, and no, it doesn't mean I turn it up a lot then.

Sjeesh what a bunch of morons in here. A sub in the boot gives a nice extra, I agree, some turn it up too loud and it's moronic. I just turn mine up when I like the song, just like you'd do with any stereo. Difference is, I've got a sub, so you hear the bass outside more. Higher tones go lost outside, but inside it sounds great and very different. Most people don't seem to understand that what you hear outside the car, isn't the same as inside.

It's just like drifting, some people like modding audio in cars, some people hate it. And just like drifting, there's only one rule: let each other alone!
It's a hobby like any else. Some people like to rebuild there boots, others like to turn circles on a virtual racetrack with a plastic steering wheel.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you people on here understand how moronic, nerdy and idiotic playing LFS really is. I'm all for the game, but be real, please..

I always think: money I don't put in my car, just gets lost somewhere else.

I have a Focal speaker set with an amp on my stock radio. So technically you don't need a new HU

Yes, most aftermarket radio's look crap, but they do provide a whole lot better quality and more options.
I'm planning on getting a Clarion double din one. Looks pretty stock in my car, but still offers a lot more.

I think the funniest thing is in the first. It says the font is "to" big, instead of "too"

I wanted to look at google to make sure, and first thing which popped up was: "is my clitoris too big?"

Quote from BlueFlame :There were two Swedish girls, in the UK, they both ran across the motorway, one destroyed a VW Polo '06, at about 100-120kph and survived, and the other was ran over by a Mercedes Actros (Truck/Semi) With trailer in tow at 80kph, and SHE survived too, the truck wheel actually ran over her legs. So, you're wrong, it is possible. It's been proven.

Anyone can get lucky, in general you wouldn't survive. And apparently they were charged with murder, so too bad they didn't get killed really?

And I've heard of pepole getting hit at almost a standstill, falling with their head in a wrong way and they were killed.

People who are arguing about he might of hit a pedestrian: HA
When I'm driving down the freeway over here at 120 km/h (legal speed), I doubt any pedestrian jumping on the road would ever survive, that's why it's a freeway anyways: you don't walk on it!

I don't really see a lot of trouble with this, okay, it's not safe and it's illegal, but come on, there is a lot worse things happening out there.

And if you think speeding is bad and such, at legal speeds you can kill other people and yourself too, this is one of the cases I'd put as: stay in your house, get all the walls padded and go sit in the middle! But watch out you don't fall over, you might get carpet burn from the padding.

It's weird..

But I wonder how it handles in real life if designed by polyphony.
- it can't spin
- if you hit something, you just stop

Quote from BlueFlame :That's what happens when your stereo is worth more than the car.

You are such a prick, that means your car doesn't have a stereo right?

And on a side note: my ex had a VW Polo, it got broken into 2 times and the radio was worth shit.

Hopefully, it will wear off soon, as its getting expensive...

It will, but it takes a pretty long time I did that too. First day I had my new car I did 150 miles
