Was watching a few onboard videos, and they only hit like 180, 185 tops coming to the start finish at Atlanta. So adjusting speed because of the cars becoming airborne seems kinda pointless.

Quote from DeKo :Yeah, obviously I would swear in an e-mail to support, get a grip.

My E-mails are well written, polite, everything is spelled correctly and they are well thought-out, but they just keep getting ignored.

Yeah the US hours are a bit of a pain in the arse, but not replying to an e-mail from the 8th of december is a little more than a bit of a time gap.

Did you check your spam folder?

I bought it when it was on sale. It's a great game, but I never play it because I'm a big pansy when it comes to scary stuff, but I still believe I haven't wasted my money ...

Quote from PMD9409 :It's not like Jeff and Steve's chemistry was great anyways. I never seemed to think that Jeff actually liked Steve that much.

I agree with you here. Ever since Gordon and Evernham parted ways, it just seems that he can't find the right crew chief.

Quote from DeKo :Yeah, I thought about the F1 offer and a couple of others and settled on the 3 for 1, mainly wanted to race the MX5 for the next wee while, and if I couldn't get into it, I had only spent £8.

Just had a cracker of a race, 3rd ever race in iRacing in the MX5 at Lime Rock, done my first sub 1 minute lap (59.8) in the warm-up, and in watching the lap back missed the grid. Started from the pits and fought my way up the field and won my first race! I like iRacing

From reading the sporting code, it seems that you get promoted automatically if you get to an SR of 4.0 at each level, no matter what series you're running in, is this right?

Another quick thing, just now I have My Name2, if I get in touch with support and ask them to completely delete my old account which would allow me to get rid of the 2 from my name, will they kick up a fuss about a new account being set up to take advantage of the special offer?

Just tell them that you forgot you had one, what are they going to do, annoy a paying customer by accusing him?

Quote from UncleBenny :70 days is nothing until the start of the season, can't believe how short their off season is. We're considering making the drive from NY down to Daytona this February for the 500, really comes down to whether or not my brother can take off of work, but I'm completely ready to go if the opportunity is there. Will probably do both Poconos again and will definitely be at the Glen, need to find one more race to go to so I can match five races like last year haha.

Head down here to Richmond! You won't be disappointed. Except for this years fall race, which sucked ass.

Quote from UncleBenny :3 days later and I still don't want to go read news stories about this past Nascar season, too depressing. It was Denny's championship to lose, and that's exactly what he did. I'm going to have to have a ceremony to burn my Greg Biffle t-shirts in the off season.

But Denny came up and hit Biffle. Are you going to burn Mark Martin shirts because Denny hit him in the gatorade duel practices?

Quote from MAGGOT :Or they then know which house has firearms that they can steal. It's happened many times; even on the street adjacent to my folks' place (which is actually a fairly decent neighborhood... or used to be, anyways).

Interesting point; though even though firearms are legal in the US, there's still an over-abundance of illegally procured ones as you yourself point out.

And they will get a blast of 00 buckshot. They got warned the first time.

You can never get rid of crime. Even if theres the most minute regulations on something, people will try to get it the easy way, illegally. If guns were illegal for the general public, then the only people that would have them would be people that obtain it illegally. The general public wouldn't have them anymore.

Quote from theirishnoob :
seriously, you keep a weapon on purpose to hurt someone you have issues. I have all of mine for fun/sport/killing pidgeons+rats etc.

We don't keep weapons " for the purpose of hurting people" We have them for other uses, target shooting, hunting, etc. We just keep the at hand in case of an emergency.

Quote from ColeusRattus :Having one or multiple guns at home, especially if they are NOT secured, but rather scattered around, will most likely getting someone hurt or killed who has found one and toys around with it. The worst case, but also most propable scenario is of a child doing that. Much more likely than using it to defend against an intruder.

Just look at the US of A. The high density of gun owners has obviously NOT improved overall security there. Quite on the contrary. Conflicts and crimes are more likely to lethaly escalate.

That's where you are wrong. A gun in itself is not a weapon, it only becomes a weapon when it is loaded. How could a child "accidentally" get hurt or killed by it if it isn't loaded? The only rifle we have that has rounds in it, is our shotgun. And we don't have rounds in the chamber, only the magazine, and it's completely locked away.

In regards to your second statement. In the USA, you need to get a background check to buy a firearm. Now all of this crime using firearms you are talking about. It is usually done with illegally bought weapons, or black market weapons. People think that firearms are in our home to "shoot every ****er that breaks in our house" but the majority of a time, it is a deterrent. If you come into a house, and are looking down a 12-gauge barrel, I'd think twice about robbing people again.

Even if we do make firearms illegal, people will still get them. It's funny that all of these "pro marijuana legalization people" usually want guns illegal too. And one of their main arguments is that if we legalize marijuana, then crime will go down due to no need to obtain it illegally anymore. Well doesn't the same apply to keeping firearms legal? I think so.

Quote from thisnameistaken :If it hadn't been sitting there collecting dust for 3 years you can guarantee someone would've broken in and killed you by now.

Saying that his bar he keeps by his bed is pointless, is like saying that the smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in your home are pointless. They are there for preparedness, these aren't things that you buy after the fact, they are items to have just in case one of these situations happen.

2 weeks ago, my mom went to work and her friend/co-worker(also lives in our neighborhood, maybe like 1/4 mile away) told her about how her house was robbed, they stole her jewelry, and her son's clothes/shoes. Now we live in a pretty nice neighborhood, never had any problems like this. But there has been two teens in our neighborhood, who are meth-addicts(apparently one overdosed before also.) And they are in a gang, always lots of cars and people at their house too. She went to a local jewelry store and asked if people tried to sell them jewelry, they said yes, and completely described the person she thought it was(friend, possible gang-member with the meth-heads.)

Anyways, we have always protected our house, always had firearms at close hand. But about a week ago, I went out on our front porch in the morning, and out porch light was busted, I don't mean it fell out, but broken, with the screw part still screwed into the socket. Now I know it wasn't natural or anything, the bulb itself is protected by a surrounding glass cage type of deal.
So lately, we have been extra cautious. We have a shotgun with rounds in the magazine(not in the chamber) locked. I have my M44 in my room with rounds stored close-by. We never have any little kids in our house, even if we do, the firearms are out of reach. And my family members all know how to handle them safely, and understand that you shouldn't point your rifle at something you don't wish to destroy. Now, I always carry a knife around with me, so does my dad, and sometimes my sister. I have at least 3 knives at close hand in my room. We also have a wooden baseball bat hidden in my sisters room. Now some people may shun people carrying knives. Well first of all, knives are not weapons, they are tools. They become weapons when somebody harms someone with them. I carry my knife for emergencies. It's a surival knife, it has fire starting fire steel, whistle, etc.

My point is, if somebody enters my house, they should've thought about the owner maybe having a weapon on hand. They made that choice to enter my home, and are definitely going to receive full consequence for it.

In most states, we have a "Castle Law", or "stand your ground" law. Which means, our home is our "castle" and we have a right to defend it(lethally even). It basically states that if your home is intruded, you aren't legally required to retreat, like in other places. You are allowed to stand your ground and fight to protect your home. Some states, this law only applies in your property, in others, it's in effect in public as well.

Just my 2 cents.

I think it's kind of dumb that they have special ops guys using crossbows...

And the game isn't very historically accurate..
In the mission where you are in Hue, during the Tet Offensive. He throws you a shotgun and says, "Heres a SPAS-12." But it will be more than 10 years later that the SPAS-12 would be manufactured. As well as the FAMAS(still being designed at the time, wasn't produced untill '78, like the SPAS, and the AUG wasn't produced then either.)

Plus I found in single player that the enemies tend to ignore the hell out of your teammates, and melee rush you like there's nobody else, annoying as hell. Not to mention the guy you have to "follow and protect" getting stuck in walls and having to restart the damn mission.

Just my two cents.
