I am doing this http://www.redballoondays.co.nz/experience/FCE091 in a couple of months. Not too happy with the track choice (its the boring part of taupo) but should be fun anyway.

Stock standard. I run the game with GPX patch which allows all sorts of mods (like the perfomance mod to add your teams in). This game used to run crap but now it runs pretty damn good.

My complaint is about how stupid these ads are and how stupid they make him look. If the ads were well done then it would not be a problem. What they have made are ads that are not even relevant to what they are trying to sell. They could have at least made them funny:

Hoshimodo have you considered buying a backpack that is designed to hold a bladder? They are comfortable and you can use them for other things when you are not running.

Takumi how does your training week go? Fighters in our Muay Thai club run 10k at least once a week and train 12+ hours a week at the club. I recently came back from training 6 hours a day for a month in Muay Thai. It was 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon with nothing being overly difficult. It was very repetitive light sparring for the most of it but our stamina shot up very quickly. Really your MMA trainer should know what to do. You should run more than once a week as well. Instead of running for distance set yourself a time goal and take it easy. So maybe try and run for an hour a couple of times a week at a really comfortable/relaxed pace. Pushing yourself every chance you get will only make things worse!

Watch them 3 times every hour and then tell me they are not annoying. There is one more which is the worst one that i can not find on youtube. They race a jet sprint boat against sending an image over the network. It does not make any sense at all.

Its a bit sad really seen as he is a nice bloke and rather enjoyable to watch on top gear however Telecom New Zealand has done their best to make him as annoying as possible. They have made him the front man for advertising a new cellphone network and These ads are incredibly annoying and make even less sense than this post. They are played constantly which makes it worse.

Ran a full 62 lap race at Imola last night in wet/dry conditions. Nothing exciting happened and i didnt watch the whole thing so no screenies or videos but do have results.


Maybe i should drop the reliability points down a bit

Does this aussie server mean australasians racer each other now with low pings (im guessing everyone raced on US servers before hand?). I might give the game a trial if this is the case.

Yep and unlike most games that you used to love GP4 still holds up pretty well all these years later.

Didnt do one last night (well i did but i was trying out monaco and hungary yet it was pointless as the AI couldn't pass) and i went out so will do one tonight 8-12 hours from this post

As for where well i dunno yet. Can do any race on the 2001 calendar so if you want to see one let me know. Im thinking either the A1 ring or Imola for next race. I can even download other tracks if you want.

It is not my most favourite place on the internet. Has a lot of good info but the people who run it seem full of themselves. They made some silly changes in the last year or two making it harder find things like BTB and the other independently developed programs as they seem to have sold out to simbin.

Future plans are:

Race and Qualy engines are the same. So if you add extra race HP this automatically goes on your qualy engine as well. Currently you can have a race engine more powerful than qualy engine which is just silly. You will be able to add extra hp to your qualy engine although it will be more expensive. Also adding HP to race engine will decrease reliability which you will need to spend points on to improve.

Drivers gain experience based on number of passes and laps completed to be spent on their ability.

You will also get a few extra points to spend on car perfomance each race. Although not too much as i dont really want HP to exceed 1000 as the AI can't handle braking from 380kph+

Plus other stuff i can't think of.

Still testing atm so any entrants i that i get will be added and i will run a race each night nz time (GMT+12) under the original rules in post #1 until i sort out the new rules.

Ok that was one hell of a crazy 9 laps at spa...in the wet

It didnt save the grid properly the second time (first time game crashed when i alt tabbed out during race) but here are the results:


I took 5196 screenshots during the race and have compiled them into a video that i will put up soon! It was anything but a normal race.

Ok i will do another race this time at SPA with DieKolkrabe's team as well. Although he didnt use all his points i just assigned them for him Can't do any screenshots as my internet is capped for the next few days.
