I almost decided I will give this league a try, but this video made me forget about it There is probably even more toxic crashing than on regular demo server. Congratz for 5th place.
Probably the best race we had so far, of course, from my point of view. There was a non-stop action for me, there were many close fights that I enjoyed. Sadly, there also were some people doing mess, I don't know names since I did not watch replay, but King was crashed in last lap by slower car, for example.
I am sorry for Adebayor though. I watched replay and that dude who crashed him was intentionally going for full speed crash in T1. After the race he even said that he did not brake at all. I am in work now, so can't post replay nor name of the driver. Rony, could you please look into it? (#protest)
I remember when I first tried mouse after years with wheel (once it was broken beyond repair), it felt like writing with left hand. It also took me few weeks to get it under control and I eventually became even faster.
As always, you are too kind. I honestly don't know what pace to expect with cars I am comfortable with (GTI), but I am sure it will be easier for me to be more confident in formula.
I also do not find any of their servers, they are probably down. These are the things I was talking about. Event is about to begin, servers are down, and you cannot find any information about it.
Nice video as always, I though of making something similar, but instead of first minutes of the race I wanted to put together all interesting situations of the race. Too bad I am too lazy to do it
After years of driving with mouse I decided I would finally give wheel a try.
Price range should be within 200-300eur. Logitech G29 impressed me the most from what I've seen so far. Does anyone have experience with it in LFS? Is it fully compatible with LFS or are there any problems I should be aware of?
My bad then, I did check the server few hours before the event and it was empty, which is not usual as people are usually training shortly before the event. With combination of none replying to me here I though it's not happening.
Too bad you did not promote the event and did not reply when I asked about it in this thread. I would have participated. But I see you had enough pariticipants so nevermind
- 5 min long qualification.. well, okay. But do not end it when people are still in hotlap. You should know that when timer hits 0, it does not mean that qualification is over.
- started race right after you decided to end qualification. You should give people time to adjust their setups. Give at least 5 minute long break
- try to make events more entertaining. Long events are usually boring for majority of drivers, as most action happens in first lap. Shorten race lenght to ~20-30 minutes and your events will be more populated.
- wind? nice feature, but not something that people want to see
Ofc you can do anything you want, it's your server, so it's up to you.
Very intense first lap, after that I was safely cruising on 5th for half of the race, then I did the fatal error - I misclicked and accidentally downshifted from 2 to 1 instead of upshifting, which broke down my car. My max speed on oval part of the race track was lowered by more than 30 km/h, so I decided to retire.
