Probably because its timed locally the laptime and synced/sent to server.

i use LFS in full screen mode and i can only answer xfire messages by alt-tabbing out. I dont see the messages in LFS also. So X-fire does not work with LFS for me. I have ingame checkbox active, yet nothing. LFS is under installed games (though added manually).

I think you guys make excellent reps. But maybe a little testrun of items (to avoid intel cockups) might be what would be best?

In reponse to Darin feeling lost in race. I agree LFS itself does not provide adequate support, but LFS has something Rfactor does not which is called insim. The community has provided some applications which gives you info on these things via the insim interface. I use LFSrelax which would have done the task Darin refers to quite nicely.

Great to see another update. It does however not seem to handle AI still? Might be a nice update especially when patch Y arrives. Now it seems to get my stats and the AIs messed up and distance to AIs is not calculated at all.

I think the time will come when you get professional servers, and pay to race. In my opinion this could be the future of sim racing, whether I think it should happen is another story.

I think a good damage model would provide enough self regulation for driving standards. Though If someone wanted to wreck they would be a lot more potent because they could literally DNF a ton of cars.

However the problem is that damage can decrease decisiveness. You will get racers so fearful of crashing at the start, that they will pose more danger than before. And you'll get guys like me exploiting this advantage, and then the complaints will start rolling in as per usual.

In my opinion a good damage model would provide harder racing, and even more action because I would know I could make wilder moves knowing someone would be less likely to turn in on me.....

I know some guys like procession racing, and they think damage modelling would help improve their situation, but it would just fuel me to be even more adventurous like IRL! lololol

In rl you would not as you would fear for your life
If damage model is enhanced a racer (not wrecker) would be more careful as he would want to finish a race and not damage car in T1. Of course it is always a matter of interpreting situations. Adventurism is fine as long as it yields positions.

Yes you need version X

You are probably using the wrong filter options. Maybe you selected private hosts or the can reset option or both.
You are also in a timezone when there just will be less activity. Most racers are from europe.

About the public test patches. Think a similar path can be followed with Y. Only it has to be limited to the AI-part. I think it would be wise to get this part tested out fully bedore being called final.

The physics changes cant be tested this way because of it affacting hotlaps and needs a housecleaning in LFSW beforehand.

That is the point mate. They cant look up all info on every league. We should provide them pretty much with ready to use features prefrably

I would say lets look at your local fair for oval racers. You will find people there that like to go round and round and round .....no Sorry thats disrespectfull.
