Kimi should've done the same thing that alonso did and go with the "avoiding a crash" explanation for cutting the chicane. I've been in the same situation at your age, and there isn't really any other way than do the move by yourself. I know it ain't easy since back then I was pretty much like you (having massive changes of mood, looking myself down etc.). I somehow found the confidence back then and afterwards we had our 3 years of happiness. Asking about it doesn't harm you since you have nothing to lose! You'll never find out the truth if you don't ask! And if the answer is no, don't blaim yourself about it because that won't do any good for you in future.
