A couple of thoughts...

BMW are mired in the middle of the pack. Why have they BOTH filled themselves to the gunnels with fuel? Surely it would have been better to have one light car and one heavy one to hedge their bets?

Button needs to get aggressive with Hamilton otherwise he'll just get blown away down to T1. If he gets behind the McLaren then he might get stuck and the front three will get away.

Vettel looks very strong. Amazing driver and a likeable personality - they can combine.

Webber will be Driver Of The Day. (Does Martin still do that?)

Great find - thanks.

It's not a bug it's a lag thing really. The gap between the two cars is very small so what is displayed is not always entirely accurate but LFS ranks the cars according internal timing meaning the result are always in synch even if the display can be a bit out sometimes.

I won't be racing in the first round due to another league race clash.

I think it is 100km/h everywhere now for the race but 60km/h for practice / qualifying.

Quote from Intrepid : that wasn't really cheating but a team trying to regain a position that was rightfully there's anyway

No, it is cheating. You cannot have people skewing the judicial process to get what they think is the right result. Where would it end? It wasn't McLaren's decision as to who should rightfuly be 3rd and they were punished for misleading the stewards.

They used to show the Bathurst 1000 on Grandstand when I were a lad (Alan Jones etc were racing) and I follow it on Motors TV when I can.

Quote from SamH :I agree, my enthusiasm for this endless heap o' shit squabbling and bitching has sapped me dry. I'm officially out of interest on F1 matters, and I'm out.

Bet you're not. You kept saying that last year.

Quote from SamH :Eh? Go listen to the team radio. If you can't extrapolate such a simple observation from that conversation alone, then all is lost.. seriously.

That's not fact then, not evidence. It's supposition, which is coloured by your own prejudices.

Evidence?

Blending what you believe with what you believe history has shown, you mean.

I think it's more a case of engineering the fallout with this other fella taking the fall in order to protect their golden boy and their future participation in the championship.

I imagine this Ryan chap will get a hefty payout to buy his silence, because if he turned around and said that Whitmarsh was aware and compliant in this situation then that's McLaren out of F1.

Having a different view / opinion on a crash or incident (as all drivers tend to do) is one thing, lying about facts to get a competitor punished is cheating, plain and simple.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

I think if LFS vanished overnight I would probably transfer my time and burning desire to win over to my career and I would have a much better paid job.

Quote from PaulC2K :I just think the tyres are dangerous, in a time when everything seems to be heavily focused on slowing the cars down for safety reasons, what part of forcing the drivers to use at least 1 unsafe racing tyre?

How were they dangerous? Didn't see any tyre failures, delaminations? Performance difference gave a lot of action, but they will adapt - most of the crashes today seemed to be caused by failure of the nut that holds the steering wheel.

I agree with Moose about the tyres. I see some people are wailing and trying to hang the FIA for it, but it's the same for all the teams. The performance disparity will generally get smaller as teams learn to adapt to set the car up better for the least advantageous tyre.

And let's not forget, Rosberg could not have been passed more at the end if he had been in a NASCAR race - isn't that what you all wanted, 20 overtakes per lap?

If they made all the teams paint the end sections of the front wings black (the bits that stick out past the front wheels) then the cars would all look much better on TV .

Would be nice if they showed free practice too.
