Quote from PhilS13 :

This is the biggest misunderstanding about car acceleration:

Engine torque really means nothing. At all.

Corrected for you.

Did Dixon get a penalty in the end? He and Wilson were at it for a couple of corners before so it's not like Dixon wouldn't expect him to be close by.

Renault and Ferrari will struggle to match Mercedes this season. Advantages that Merc have in areas such as turbo design and packaging can't simply be copied on their existing installations, so I would imagine that only the other Mercedes powered cars will get a look in.

So that's McLaren then. Force India won't develop as quickly as them and will be overtaken shortly. Maybe Williams, but they don't seem to have the ability to transfer acknowledged pace into qual and race performances.

Ferrari and Red Bull will close the gap, but they need to get ahead of Mercedes as by the time they turn things around they could be 150 points behind in the constructors.

I'm also disappointed he's been sacked, being an Everton fan

Portrayed as the image of Ferguson, any Everton fan will tell you he was nothing of the sort. Too conservative, too orthodox, too defensive. Lord knows where he got the reputation as a developer of young talent - he never went to see the youth teams play a match and only played them when he had literally no other choice. His success at Everton was persuading the fans and media that 7th place was an overachievement for little Everton. He met expectations not by improving our position over 11 years, but by lowering expectations. That would never work after Ferguson.

I think he has just served his purpose of being "the man that followed The Man", so when Van Gaal or whoever arrives they are already somewhat removed from the Ferguson legacy as they are "the man that followed the man that followed The Man". Not that I'm complaining - very happy with Senor Martinez!

Looks like this season could turn either into a classic intra team battle when it really wouldn't have mattered if only 2 cars turned up for each GP (1988) or we might get another 2011 or 2013 - just depends how quickly Rosberg can get to grips with Hamilton

How many millions have Caterham spent to be 7th on the GP2 grid? I imagine things will improve over the weekend, but worth noting.

I don't mind the sound, could do with being a bit louder.

I did watch Spa 2000 last night though. The V10 was a special noise.

If there is a limit for the entire race, then I don't see the point of having a flow limit. Having no flow limit would allow more wide variety of engine strategy.

Don't think Red Bull have a leg to stand on, which is a shame because it was a great moment for Ricciardo and the Aussie fans that is now taken away from them, especially if it is not actually the fuel flow exceeding the limit that caused the issue but rather how the faulty sensor was handled by the team - although that is the team's fault.

All my answers would be irrelevant as it's pure guesswork and no one will care what anyone has guessed by the end of the season.

Anyway, everyone will be pulling down their trousers very soon so we'll see who's got what. Can't wait.

Have you tried that pre-render frame thing? That helped, but you don't have the feel from the wheel or your arse like you do in real life and reacting mostly to what you see / hear leaves you a bit behind the car.

It's not supposed to be easy though; first time I tried a casual drift around a corner near my house I did an instant snap 180. It was wet though

Operate Steam in offline mode, in the short term. You would only have to worry about it when you need to get a new PC, change your hardrive etc.

Having said that, businesses with that many customers rarely just close the doors and everything ceases to exist. The platform itself is an asset, so someone would buy it (for a song) and allow it to continue operating. It would be an ideal crowdfunding opportunity.

It's the same with many other companies. What happens if Costa Coffee goes bust? How will I redeem my "Buy 5 coffees get the 6th free voucher"? I own that coffee! What about football / theatre / cinema / gig tickets bought in advance?

Quote from BlueFlame :And where does it say clearly you live on the Isle of Man? IE, how the **** am I supposed to know? Population is what less than 100,000? Out of 60 million people in the UK I assumed you weren't on the Isle of Man. Massive fail right there.

From now on maybe I'll assume everyone lives on the Isle of Man? What a wonderful warped point of view that will be. Still won't satisfy you lot though will it? Clearly I don't give a shit though.

I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
