Quote from Ped7g :Because it's so far off from the real thing? I mean mostly the temperatures and wear and grip dynamics modified by those. The carcass movement is already quite good, doesn't feel that much off the real thing, but once you would try to play a bit with pressure and driving style to achieve certain temperature, the current physics doesn't resemble any vehicle + tire compound I know. (that said, I don't know too many, basically just karts with few different compounds, but judging from the feedback over years the big cars are quite off too).

If you don't race in real life, you can get probably easily used to the current LFS physics, as for a game it's OK. But once you will try to use your real life knowledge, it will break on too many occasions (of course one would not expect the simulation to be perfect - if it would be perfect, there are some people like F1 teams who would pay Scawen obscene amount of money for perfect one ... still if it breaks too early and too easily, it's a bit annoying).

Plus I'm personally looking forward for more surface simulation updates, like wet/dirty/temperature of surface, ideally combined with "live tract" evolving during the event (picking up rubber bits over time outside of racing line, getting sticky with rubber in the racing line, and getting "green" after rain).

The development of racing simulators nowadays is in a dead end,no one developer can not do realistic enough physics. They loudly claim for super realistic physics but reality is different! They only add shiny animation and new cars which road behavior does not match with the real cars.If Scawen can"t released new physics I will have to change my hobby!

But then, of all the flatscreens I've ever seen, there has only ever been 'better', never 'fixed'.

OLED,but they are still too expensive.

Quote from BIzO :This has nothing to do with the update?

I posted this here because I find it very strange and funny someone to compare LFS with Out Run and Ridge Racer,I disagree with him.
Sorry if this is off topic.

Quote from RC-Maus :Think physics are okay...

There are things that are just the opposite of the real world in this game.
Here are two examples:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/modern-cars-are-boring-on-factory-settings.352620/#post-11794718

Off throttle in Schwedenkreuz(this corner is famous with lift off oversteer) going over curb/grass and the car remains completely stable, this is more than inaccurate I would call it arcade.

https://youtu.be/cZVZU5jgWSU?t=70

That's what's going on in the real world when you going over curb/grass in Schwedenkreuz:

The same situation cockpit view.

Because of the physics.
I bought Assetto Corsa two weeks ago because of the laser scanned Nordschleife but I do not like the physics in this game.

Quote from Scawen :OK... what Daniel564 noticed, correctly, is that below Macree's name it said "S1 licensed" although in his profile it said "Demo".

In fact Macree has been refunded and there was a bug that didn't return his forum status (below his name) to Demo, but that is now fixed.

Any update about the new tyres physics?Wink

Mounting the base with the included table clamp, works not really good. After some laps, i have to reclamp the wheel because its moving slowly from the table.

You can try something like this:

Quote from P V L :All I can do is to show you my screenshot in options.

Hope it helps, I have never heard this is missing. Uhmm

ThanksSmile
Quote from Gutholz :It is only for "in car" view, not for "custom view"

ThanksSmile
Yes,I use custom view.

Quote from P V L :Have you ever tried to set the option right above the mirror placement to YES ?
In english it could be called " Move view with animation".

I have no such option.
Quote from k_badam :The bumpiness is realistic to a track, as Scawen said, i you are struggling with seeing the corners the fiddle about with those head tilt options, i would change the vertical one

I tried these options they do not help.
Quote from Scawen :If they are off then you are seeing the real vibrations of the car. Maybe it's worth softening the suspension or tyre pressure to reduce the harshness of vibrations.
I'm not sure I should say this but that's another thing that can work better in the new tyre physics (maybe depending on which car is selected, not sure about that). One thing we didn't like when we were trying to get the Scirocco ready for release, all those years ago, was that we had to use unrealistically hard suspension to make the car drive well. So maybe that's a characteristic of the current LFS tyre physics.

With slick_r4 pressure 83kPa is a bit better(at a lower pressure than 83kPa tires overheat),with a soft suspension is also a bit better but I do not like car behavior,I will wait for new tyres physics. With FOV set to 90degrees vibrations are very small but I like to play with FOV set to 45degrees and that's why I get so big vibrations.

Quote from johneysvk :didn't have that kind of issue at all, the surface is indeed bumpier now, which i think is a nice change.
what car/corner specifically?

If I have to be honest I do not like new Blackwood at all. There is very strong vibrations in the corner entry especially when you try to trail brake. The vibrations are so strong that i hardly see where the apex is with rock solid 60 frames per second and a brand new monitor which has 4 milliseconds response time.
