its not a competition its a goal for us rookies to acheive hence i want some experienced racer to set an achievable goal.... its meant to be fun aswell as learning...not just going round the track swearing when you spin, theres somthin to aim for a target that when you know you beat you could (if your feeling really brave) try daves challenge altho even after 12 hours of LX6 i still wouldnt be comfortable enough to try that yet...this challenge is to help people improve, and therefore not get abuse and stuff in servers and you never know maybe win one or two races (especiallyin the LX6 lol)

for me im starting now...im goin from sunset to sunrise on BL GP in the LX6, and by the end i hope to return, faster, in control, and above all ready to take on any other car with full knowledge that i tamed the LX6

so join if you will at the end of your 12 hours (doesnt have to be straight 12 hours can be done in segments) post a replay of you in control of the beast...if an accomplished driver could set a lap time too beat (obviously not WR cos that will take more than 12 hours to get to) then that will be a great help

i'd like to see some more "exotics" such as a lambo or a ferarri type car, or a prodrive or.... well just about any car like that

i can just about hold it.... not very well tho i know what you mean by very light steerin its so sensitive...if you could create a video on how to setup i'd be very thankful...its not the easiest and im tryin all sorts of things... but none seem to work... but yeah hopefully you acn make a video

right i've done what rubenz81 said (cheers ) and i've become alot better (in my eyes)... but i now need advice on what i can do to make me faster..attached are 4 laps of the LX4 at Blackwood there are still some problems when im pushing the car....see laps three and four at castrol corner... and almost everytime at turn one (if not every time :schwitz

here are the replays...yes replays, one is the origanal that exposed the problem... and the other is why i think its my gearin making it bad cos i can take the corner fine without losing it in auto gears

and driftin has just never appealed to me its no less of a motorsport I just find it pointless

btw replay 5 is manual gears and 6 is auto

and tristan JPM was in contention for the drivers championship in 2004 i think 2004 anyway it was a three way scrap him raikkonen and somone else so come on even you gotta admit way way better than ide...

as for the owning a caterham comment..... i drive the silverstone track and in about 3 weeks time will be able to compete in the cups they have there so altho yes F1 drivers are the best in the world (other than Ide :razz if you watch it JPM in austrailia, thats what happens when traction controls off, he span it on installation lap for those who dont know, so the TC does have a big part to play.....

and yes there will be a revised replay coming up i just gotta have some tea n stuff and then i'll find and post it

so in a nutshell - sorry to all. TC is important, im new so im not gonna be great a throttle control and ide cant drive an F1 car, and there will be a replay in about 20 mins

lol i dont suck at throttle control i actually drive round silverstone circuit (where i live not 5 minutes away ) and yeah driftin is gay IMO im not sayin no one should like it i just find it pointless

yeah i'll agree the handling is very similar to real life (i own a caterham) and the LX4/6 are almost right on the money they do react very touchy.... but the BF1 is no good...the traction control system doesnt work..... well it does just when it wants in my life i've never seen an F1 car spin when it accelerates off the start.... cos of traction control, but when you accelerate on LFS it just spins...good fun for doin driftin...(altho driftin is gay) but not for anythin else

cheers for all your help guys...... im gonna buy an expensive wheel soon, , and yeah found part of my problem, i was using manual gears and i switched to auto and shaved 4 seconds of my PB i dont think i had quite enough experience to use manual gears yet...does anyone know a wheel that has paddle gearing....

well anti roll seems to be what most people are sayin.... btw the setup is a team inferno one....

and yeah a short replay of the probelms

EDIT: lol wrong replay!!! i'll upload the proper one later... i got soo many of drivin i dont know which is which half the time...thats when i first started

im 17, will probably not make it to 18 as this games gonna stress me out till i have a heart attack..... or die from lack of sleep/food/drink/life

right as the title would suggest im having the overpower/out reving problem.... even when i work my way slowly into acceleration (i dont just go no throttle...THROTTLE!) the car hits a certain speed and the my rear is at the end of the corner b4 me.....

and also when i turn no matter how much slower im goin...when i put on the throttle my wheels just dont turn the car they just skid...

im using (reading from the back of the label) a thrustmaster Firestorm dual power 3 game pad, i use the analogs for accel/brake and steering...

now some of you will probably after reading that now think ah he needs trail braking or whatever its called, nope tried that...same problem

if anyone has any idea what i can do please post... its not even happening only if i use the BF1 or whatever i used the Xr GT and had the problem...

well, i brought the licsense 4 days ago i think and it was simply because i was fed up of driving

1. the slowest car on earth (other than the UF1000 which is actually so slow its fun) around 5 laps swearing at crashers

2. driving a car that no one uses

3. driving a car that when you turn understeers and when you accelerate out powers itself

plus blackwood gets really boring after the 1,000,000,000 lap (exageration)

so altho yeah for a while people are just gonna use the demo version i reckon they shouldnt add/take anything from it, its the worst three cars mixed with a track that gets very boring.... so in a way its enough to drive you to buy a liscense

hey this is my first attempt at a skin...if enough people like the look i will upload the actual skin file

lol i had S2 licsense for 3 days already got pro on all of the training....but you online racers blow me away your so good, even team inferno setups dont keep me within striking distance of the guy thats second to last (im usually last lol)

im thinkin i play alot of F1 games, infact every F1 on PS2 since 2001, and i've always found out setting up yourself is a much better way of getting faster is this the case with LFS if so can somone help now im not expecting for somone to take me through it all but is there a file or somthin somwhere explaining what all the different clutch settings and stuff do i know the basics such as ride hight, toe, camber, antiroll, bump/rebound damping..... but most is a mystery

any help appreciated
