Right handed naturally, but I use my left for my fork, amongst other things.

Feel quite comfortable using my left hand.

Going back to the RHD thing, I can't get my head around LHD. Using my right hand to shift just feels really wrong and I miss the shifter entirely usually! I'm definitely more accurate steering with my right and shifting with my left.

Surely VW would want it in LFS as soon as possible, I mean, at the end of the day, it's a source of promotion for their new car...

Quote from simscube :My hobbies are flying and DJ'ing. By flying I do mean aircraft, my dad is a private pilot. For DJ'ing, I have Virtual DJ, but no physical mixer or anything, but that will be remedied soon...hopefully.

I'm a VDJer too

Timecoded CDs on CDJ1000s through a Vestax PCV275. Mmm!

Hoping to upgrade to MK3's (boo old breaky mk1s!) and a DJM800 soon, then I'll be a happy chappy.

Quote from danowat :Yes, I was hoping they would run the Mondie, however, I think they'd be too big and unwieldy to be competetive.

I thought the same about the Vectra.

Aren't the two comparable in size?

Will be good to see the blue oval banging doors again.

Hopefully a good show by Arena will pave the way towards a works team

Although I'd like to see them run the Mondeo. I don't like these hatchback touring cars.

I abuse my street by DJing loud, banging dance music.

Or by producing said banging dance music.

Been learning to play the guitar over the last 6 or so weeks.

I've also fallen into the world of cooking. Don't know why, but I'm enjoying it more and more as I get older. Although my former rave-sculpted () body thinks it's a bad idea. A nice homemade curry with all the trimmings (Mmmm, dhaal!) really beats a Pot Noodle

And of course the usual, harrassing people on MSN/Facebook/other forums, watching the telly, tinnies of grog blah blah blah.

I produced an utterly random "happy" hardcore tune which somehow became the "must-have" track for DJs playing that genre that year. It even appeared on a proper retail CD.

Had lunch with Rubens Barrichello when I was working for VW UK, he was driving for Stewart at the time, both their HQs were next to one another.

Erm... *scratches head*

Tricky solution would be to use a 5.1 soundcard, route LFS through the front channel and your 3.5mm headset into the rear and mic. Set Vent to only push audio to the rear and jobs a good'un. Easy way would be, as Jakg mentioned, 2 sound cards. Or a USB headset.

I don't have a clue about what's going on as I'm not a massive poster here, but I'm still allowed to voice my opinion LFS' forum is far, far too uptight for me to become a regular poster on, even if I am very interested in what's here. Too many "Use the search!" posts and some very stringent moderation, even of little things like banter on threads. Nothing at all like the forum I've been a regular on for about 4/5 years. S'pose it's hard to change what you're used to though. *goes back to lurking*

Quote from blackbird04217 : Also I didn't seem to have an issue with pushing it down where the gear was, it just seemed that the button wasn't detecting where the stick was.

Same with mine. Goes down and into the position fine, but doesn't detect anything.

Don't really want to send my wheel back to get it fixed either Would rather fix it myself or keep using a workaround.
G25 shifter issue: Reverse

OK, so had my G25 for a while now, and I've been living with something that's been winding me up.

About... 3 days after I got it, my push-down reverse thingy has stopped responding completely. Everything else on the shifter is fine, except it doesn't want me to go backwards.

Anyone else had a similar problem and knows how to fix it?

Quote from MijnWraak :So just because it's not useful to racers means it should be taken out?

Hasn't everyone been complaining about "bad improvement suggestions" because it'll take precious time out of devs' limited work hours? It's the same thing as "take out the ability to put drivers in"... It's already coded, why take out something that took a while to code? It's going in reverse direction. We have to realize that this ISN'T reality. It's a game. If it was an ultimate simulator we'd all be sweaty and damned tired after every race, and we would have no money in a few weeks from racing. Some things are just better to have than to not have. Horns are not so important, and almost no racer uses it. Does that justify taking the time to take it out of the game? I certainly don't think so. After it's taken out there will be a new group of racers asking for it back! You never know what you had until its taken from you - or something like that. Maybe you're just taking the horn for grantite. It's useful for cruisers and.. drifters i guess? If they're too sideways maybe they beep?

I probably made no sense; i'm incredibly tired.

+1.

There's far more important things to be fixed before something like this should even be considered by the devs.

Personally, I'd say just leave them in. They're not doing anyone any harm, and it's not like leaving the horn code in the GTRs will make them any slower...

Quote from S14 DRIFT :I remember back on the Sega (I believe) there was a racing game. I have no idea what it was called, but I remember you had to pick a team, and then finish above position x to advance. I was really young at the time, but the one thing I vividly remember is that when you'd finish a race, there'd be a little man waving a flag.

I'd drive at him full speed, and he'd go flying (while stood upright, still waving his flag) into the sky.

Made me laugh so hard xD

That was Super Monaco GP2.

I used to do the very same thing!

Quote from Billeh :Think i might get myself a copy of this Used to play about with Rebirth and i have started using virtual dj aswell just need to buy myself one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HERCULES ... ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

and see if i can turn myself into Eddie Halliwell

I use VDJ (along with a timecode CD system and 2 CDJ1000's).

Personally, if I had to start again, I'd opt for a separate, traditional mixer and a non-mixer based hardware controller. Or 2.

VDJ used to offer one themselves that looked fantastic. Not sure if they still have a partnership with the company that made them.

Not saying the Hercules isn't good, you might adore it. Just wasn't solid enough for me, and it felt like a toy. But maybe that's because I've been mixing for years now and I'm used to a proper mixer.

Anyway, back OT, nice ambient tunes Should really finish projects I have going. "Everything But The Girl - Missing" techtrance remix is gagging to be completed.

Luckily, I've not had that many blue flag spammers behind me.

When I do though, they just get my "STFU, I know what the blue flag means. Pass me when safe" bind back at them.

Only once mind. No spamming from me

Quote from Dajmin :It's not likely to get a PC release either. The control method means they'd need to either take advantage of the limited number of PC owners with a dual analogue pad or they'd have to totally rewrite it for mouse/keyboard.

I've stuck in some bids for copies on eBay but I don't think I'm likely to get it for £4 I'll grab it right away some point next week after I've been paid

More people have PC controllers with dual analogue sticks on them then you'd think.

People have them for playing emulators, or stuff like Pro Evo.

And as the 360 controller works on a PC, even more people with access to a PC with a gamepad.

More console based games, especially 360 ones, should be ported to PC. Just not as bad as the failure that was the port of TDU...
