theres an old saying,`win on sunday, sell on monday`.
the manufacturers want to sell a product so why not stick it in a race car, afterall its the manufacturers who cough up the brass to enter the races.

ps the majority of diesel cars are slightly more expensive than the petrol variants
if f1 went to laguna seca then we would loose the cork screw !! they would flatten it `for safety reasons`. so they wouldnt be much point in racing there then. dont know why but they keep talking about track safety yet they race at montreal(i actually like that circuit!) with concrete walls on the edge of the track and at monaco where theres barriers and almost no chance of overtaking. let f1 race at the boring tracks and let motogp race at phillip island, mugello, assen etc. i would rather have excitement(motogp) rather than huge amounts of money and technology(f1).

anybody see the gp2 crash at the french gp yesterday? made me wince when i saw it,NOT for the faint hearted ! apparently Viso is ok but what a lucky guy and stewards.
Tango
its clear that he didnt catch the parked car,the dust came from the tarmac at the side of the track which gave the appearance that he hit the car from the tv angle replays.
Tango
you can see his feet in this picture, ouch ! i feared the worst when i saw the crash.he also clipped that stationary car parked against the wall, that is one hell of a lucky guy. not sure he was conscious during the crash like his team are saying though. he says he cant remember anything which is an obvious sign of concussion,i think he might not race until the latter part of the season purely for health reasons. lets hope for a speedy recovery and hopefully some tyres against that concrete wall for next year !

ps i like the montreal circuit but have always had doubts about the safety aspects of the track, ecclestone moans all the time about silverstone yet they aint no concrete walls at the edge of that track.
so why, with the one exception, did rossi pass stoner on the brakes only to run wide midcorner? perhaps it was because stoner was braking at the limit which forced rossi to brake too late and run wide? stoner braked late all race and showed rossi that he wasnt prepared to lie down and die, sounds like a good bike and rider to me.
yes yamaha and honda have caught the ducatis a little in the last few races but stoner and capirossi(17th to 6th) have today, shown that they can handle corners like they can handle the straights.

yeah i love motors tv except when they show new zealand powerboat racing and steam train classics .its like discovery wings showing a program on fast cars, hang on they do show programs on fast cars:doh:

turn 2 still amazes me,its nearly peeled the tire off the rim!! the cars are overweight, undertyred and underbraked but it still makes it the best tin top racing series in the world. 640hp v8 = . did anyone see the brake cam?
great shots of the rotors sparking as the car braked going into the chase and the engine cam showed the glowing exhaust as they went down conrod straight. did you notice how quick the exhaust cooled when the driver came of the throttle? big thumbs up to channel ten and now im more determined then ever to visit the best motor race in the world, bring it on bathurst 2007.

the v8`s have a big following over here in the UK,great coverage on motorstv(sort of a european version of speedtv). we have live coverage of sandown and bathurst and same day full race replays from the other races.
Tango
gotta stock up on coffee now its gunna be a long one,and motorstv viewers dont forget to watch the whole coverage because we get the porsche race,v8 warmup and shootout highlights. starts at 10pm, v8 race starts at 1am. CANT WAIT

i had the same problem a long time ago with my geforce 2 gts gfx card.I removed the card and heatsink and cleaned all the dust off,no problems after that and the card is now happily working in my dads pc,must be about 7 or 8 years old now

He deliberately hit hill at Adelaide and he deliberately hit Villeneuve. if those events happened today he wouldnt have won world title against Hill and he probably would of got a race ban for the following season for hitting Villeneuve.regarding the incident on saturday, the car didnt have enough `energy` to spin at the corner and the little spin which might have happened if schumi hadnt tried to `correct it` would have got the car pointing in the right direction. As far as im concerned, he tried to make it look an `accident` but made himself look an ass instead, thats a result in my mind !!!
