its only how its driven, on the given surface, with the given tuning, in the given envoirment.
i thought it was all understud but clearly it isn't.
obviously a 500 hp s13 will have a better time sideways then a 180-200 hp corrolla but at the same time, id take the 86, not because its the underdog but because their a very very fun car to drive, without going sideways and their more or less built for ITB's
fully tuned the tommi mak evo and the skyline GTR v spec...
and fcuk me... polish people hate me online racing ( my gf is polish and translates... when their not bragging about how many pounds of boost their 126 is runnin their talkin shit about my 26 second lead... lmfao )
but seriously, i love hosting drift lobbys online, setting everything to realistic then watching everyone rage quit.
Really ? thats strange... because theirs always the annual pheonix park races where they all go, Regular club meets and many many mad men with too much money in such a small space ( dublin is tiny imho ) that you really never are too far from a weapon ( i.e, 300+ bhp mkII escort with a novice pilot... crash waiting to happen )
it was not fast, but still by standards here it was nippy enough and no. the AE86 did not only have 112 hp, thats the AE85.
86 had 127 bhp standard here ( on our fuel anyways ) with the only major difference between the two being interiors, lsd and most 85's came with a shitty 1.5 where as the 86 had a 1.6
most 85's where converted to 86's when imported because... well its hard enough to tell the difference,
but getting back to the point on top; you must remember that places such as rieland where poor during the 80's and well this was a fast car if you could afford it, not only that but they where still rare enough bar rallying due to the fact we generally got the FWD + carinas.
Though still they gave seirras, escorts and most everything you can name a good run for their money for the price of them. They are relyable and predictable cars, whats not to love ?
the 1.6 4age sounds lovely on ITB's/cammed so you really cant complain ( unless your my old instructor who haven been a major toyota fan all his life used to go bat shit at me for liking old corrollas over his lovely Mk1 celica + MK 3 supra )
Its understandable why people like them but then again they are poxy boxy c**** that get treated poorly, tuned badly and still get a great rep that will outlive them.
Still i'd own one not a bother if i could get one at none cult prices... but they are loved here, much like e30 bmw's and mk2 golks, eg civics etc etc
museum cards is a nice touch imho; the presentation of Gt is one of the things i look forward to ( though normally the overly dressed up shit that most games produce annoys me ) theirs something about the whole lay out and config + music and it all clicks together nicely.
but the game needs Alot of work and patching.
thank god PSN is half decent these days ( but still needs work, i give my PS full internet and still struggle to top 5 mbps )
supposed to snow here thought tbh im too close to the sea to fully get the knock from it But shall be down the country ( mid lands ) so i should be more then able to spin out at 5 mph no bother...
all you get is " why do you have all the assists off you f***** noob "
the game overall is fun, miles from realisitic But its a step in the right direction, snow drifting is the best part of it ( track creator with the corners made as wide and difficult as possible )
wasting their money, its all a waste of money in the greater scheme of things but we Have to put up with it.
i shall have both ( currently have forza... no comments needed ) and well, i know i will never be Fully happy with either without nitt-picking like most posters; though at the same time... i just wanna get in the bay window and do the ring, i wanna rally a dc5 around london without dyin of understeer and most importantly of all, i wanna go into a kart race with no assists and listen to controller fags scream " traction FTWWWWWWWWWWWW STOP HIDING ! " or equally amusing, 24 hours of the fiat 500.
