Quote from Nathan_French_14 :Some of them use a mouse, which means you can move the steering incredibly fast. If they use a wheeel, some of them use stupidly small steering degrees from there profiler, like 180 degrees lock-to-lock for example, which means they can do transfers very precisely and fast.

p.s. Dont know if anyone has mentioned it in here, but obviously setup is a big factor. Normals with high pressure on the rear, stiffer springs and dampers along with a little camber on the rear. Locked rear diff and shorter gear ratios. More brake pressure with more bias (about 30F / 70R is what i tend to find best). etc.

You do know some of us has to work with the wheel like a jew on a bike through nazi-berlin.
If you know what to do, just chill
I play 540 degrees when I drift ^^

First time I try out making a track.
Pretty successful, athough kinda narrow and stuff but imo it's pretty good, havnt tried playing 2 people on it yet but if there is 2 good drifters, no problem.
Same principle as the normal drift wars track.
When both cars goes past the "first straight" next pair goes.

No start and finish is placed since I dont know how to do that yet (always gets pretty bad when I try do it, arrows wrong way etc, dunno why it places directly when I press finish and I can't rotate it).

Altough I aint got a replay, dunno how to do that

But atleast I know where the "prnt scrn" button is

Cheers!

Quote from danthebangerboy :I dont know if this thread is strictly for road going vehicles, but at least they are fords.

Mk1 granada 'coke bottle' coupe and mk1 capri incase you wondered.

there are loads more that we have raced over the years, including a rare little v4 engined front wheel drive ford taunus from the early 70's that we brought back from belgium, but due to my pc crash last month i am forced to trawl through racing photo albums in hope that some older galleries are still up so i can get them back again.

I sure hope those wasnt in good condition when you started
Nah but, still looking good, what are you driving them in? Looks like Destruction Derby cars

Quote from SidiousX :Here's my 1994 Ford Ranger XLT has around 380k miles on it... Still runs perfectly fine. The only thing(major) that we had to change so far was the front differential for the 4x4, and that's basically it...

I had the choice between this truck or my sister's old ford probe, that probe was a blast to drive, but it was automatic and I wanted a manual, which this truck is.

Nice!
I would have also gone for truck tbh, it's more like something for a man!

Quote from Sueycide_FD :i find it easier with XRT to drift on hotter tires than cold :S

For me, 70-100 Degrees is best. 110 is also ok but when we come to 120 it's hard to come in the same speed into corners. At 130 I have to go slower but I get more angle.

Quote from Nathan_French_14 :Thanks for the comments. I understand that my car's wont be to everyone tastes, but i love the way the mondeo looks now. But hey, as long as the owners loves it, thats all that matters right?

Damn right!
The owners opinion is all that matters, except for a BMW in my town.
A guy has bought som AWEFUL hood "vents" which is "bolted" on with double side tape.
A "custom" tank filler cap, it's a sticker that looks like a race tank filler cap.
And an AWEFUL stupidly HIDIOUS wing ... Bolted wrong way forward

Quote from RevengeR :Atm I own 2 '90 Thunderbirds, both with the 3.8 supercharged V6. One of them is a 35th Anniversary one, with manual gearbox. Sadly it's in quite a bad shape, so no way I'm gonna mess with it, I'll just use it for spare main parts for the other.
So with the other one I have a few plans, but it's on hold due to the lack of money at the moment. I took it apart, only the suspension left, then it will get a new paintjob. Hopefully I'll have both cash and freetime in the summer to work on it.

Beautiful. I hope you get that thing finished soon!

Its a 95' mondeo saloon Si. Started life as a 2.5 V6. Its had a 3.0 ST220 engine dropped in, with a forged ST200 air intake manifold. It then had the respray, the kit and suspension along with a mild brake upgrade. All this was done by my brother when he owned. I bought it off him about 6 months ago, and its a little different. The stupidly big wing has been removed. The engine has been rebuilt being fitted with Cams, valves, followers and valve springs from the Noble GTO (use's same engine), and has since been supercharged. I also fitted a Brembo brake kit (320mm front, 280mm rear), polybushes, GAZ front and rear coilovers/springs and a general tidy up. Its off the road atm while i do some more things to it. Im quite happy with it and love the way it looks, but everyone has there own taste, so im prepared to recieve abuse for it from some guy on here, but i dont mind. I have alot of plans for it in the future, one of which is to make it RWD using the current engine, but thats a big job so its not going to happen this year i dont think.

The other rice bucket (its not too rice imo..) is my S2 Escort RST. Its a mercury grey 90-spec. And i love it to bits. I've wanted one since i was 8 when my brother had one, and it has'nt dissapointed. I've not done much to it. Interior wise, its just had audio and a cosworth steering wheel. the exterior is stock apart from i got the wheels diamond cut, and the inside of the spoke sprayed black. Engine wise, its had a big-valve head fitted, front mount intercooler, exhaust/filter, map and chip, performance pulleys, uprated cams and valves. On the last rolling road session, it done 205hp, which im happy with. I dont think im going to aim for too much. Its so light, it would be undriveable with much more. Its still on the stock turbo (its got refurbed though) as i prefer the smaller turbo as theres very little lag.

Whoah, first one, not my style but the second one, taasty!
I like when people build them tasteful, imo the first is built without any taste but the second one, yummy!

One reason is that what we have in our basement
My father has a 5.7L in his car, I have 5.0L in my car and then we have 2 extra 5.0L in the basement
We probably have enough stuff for Fox Body Thunderbirds (the 80's T-birds) to make the whole suspension etc and engine, tranny and rearaxle etc.
Most is performance parts though ^^
We got our basement full of engines and parts for the 2 cars, and the whole upper storage thing over the garage. Dunno what it's called in english but it's the storage place just under the roof and above the cieling in the garage ^^

Since there is a Supra thread, so meh, lets make a Ford thread!
I hope there is someone in here who drives a ford apart from me
Well, I don't really "drive" mine.
I'm rebuilding it at the moment.
And because I'm 16 I can't drive it (18 years old for drivers license in Sweden).
Oh and my car is a 1988 Ford Thunderbird LX. Which is with the 5.0L v8 (302").
I'm currently putting in my fathers old engine (roughly around 250hp) and his old transmission with my own torque converter with 3200rpm stall speed
The reason for the high RPM on the torque converter is that I'm gonna dragracing it (did it 2 summers ago before I started rebuilding it).
And ofcourse I'm removing all the rust.
Someone has repaired it terribly bad!
The drivers door is all messed up, the underside of the drivers side is repainted terribly. The quarter panel of the drivers side has taken som beatings, probably a crash so that is a mess too but it doesnt show on the pictures because there was just whole lot of bondo over it >.<

I suck at taking pictures
Some old pictures:

Not to sound like a fanboy but I would rather stick to fords newer v8s.
Less problems, cheap to fix etc.

Altough I absolutley LOVE the MK2 ^^

This is just getting stupid.

All the threads like:

"did iRacing kill LFS?"
"Which is best? LFS or iRacing?"
"is lfs actually the best sim?"

DUDE!
You are on the forums for LFS (LIVE FOR SPEED) so what the **** do you think your answer will be?
This is not only for this thread but for all other retarded threads out there too.
And another information, I don't think anyone really cares.
