I'd actually like to test either this or the Oculus Rift on the Gamescom in Cologne this year, but not sure yet if I will go there. Smile

And buying this would be way too expensive for my budget Big grin

Well, of course it's a pity that cargame.nl S2 is offline but anyways I'm sure some other servers will take over, not sure though if it will be the XRG/XFG S2 Server, those guys would need to offer a car rotation as well cause driving the same car over month is gettin' a lil bit boring from time to time.

But I also have to say: At first I wasn't a big fan of iRacing because I founded the system of paying for each car and track pathetic. Now after 2 month of testing it and getting to a Class B license I can surely say: There is nothing to compare at the moment. It is surely the best racing simulation nowadays although many people can't deal with the fact of paying for the content. And LFS can't compete with it anymore, we have to face it. Cargame was one of the most successful S2 servers ever and now it's gone...

You possibly could have avoided that although he was full braking because of that incident with the lapped car. I would say it's a 50:50 thing.

We have all spent 36 € or 24 £ for the S2 license some years ago and I'm sure we've never regret it.

I had so much fun and so many races in the past years especially from 2009 to 2011 and have met a lot of friendly people in this simulation. Surely at the moment there won't be that much action in lfs like it was 5 years ago.

Without driver swaps is pretty much ridiculous, that's true. Big grin

But otherwise 5 hours is a good race length, so that there could be teams of 2 drivers, each one driving 2,5 hours.

Think I already wrote it on the server, but I will comment here as well.

You guys should definitely try to host an event like a 4 hour endurance race with the XFG/XRG and driver swaps, I think this would attract many people to take part in it. Smile

Scawen can you maybe tell us a date or just the month when Westhill will be released or you plan to release it? Big grin Looking forward to this and hope it may bring some of the old lfs racers back for maybe some one Off-Events.

I will answer in place of Klaus or Webflat Smile

You can feel free to use the numberplate for the DoP

But it is not a mandatory thing. If you don't want to use them, you won't need to.

Get a G27, I think in your country it's about 218 pounds.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CM2R1GA/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1/275-7654515-5682724?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_r=0STV8CBYPPCDBTH2B3YH&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=569136327&pf_rd_i=B002PHN5W6

You won't find any better wheels for that money. And if you just want to have some fun with public driving on cargame or doing some fun leagues like the Rony's tuesday races or AWD Winter Series it's the best option for you.

And if you will get more into serious Simracing at some point, you will always buy a Thrustmaster T500 or some Fanatec wheel base with different rims etc, a rig and so on.....

But for now the G27 should suit you perfectly (Don't forget there's also the possibility to mod the G27, watch a few youtube vids for that...although I would only do this if it runs out of warranty).

Quote from Blade3562 :My dad bought a 2015 Stingray. I have always despised Corvettes but this car is a thing is a totally different beast. He lives 3 states south of us currently but I'm visiting him in February and get to have some fun with it!

Wooooow nice one Blade Smile That's a great beast to drive I assume.

Everything on this car is just perfect, I mean the engine (6.2 Naturially aspirated V8) and just a great bodywork and look. Btw is it a manual or automatic transmission?

Sorry but this is just a joke. Seriously. I don't have anything personal against you Oliver or someone else, but a track like this doesn't suit the BF1. And then no tow car like the RB4 for getting people out of the gravel....? 48 laps is a really long distance though.

I feel like I'm wasting my time here. Of course I really lack of pace in the BF1 but this configuration is totally bullshit for a car like that.
