Do you think left foot braking is the key to your speed? You're on the throttle so early in T1, and it looks like you use the brakes just a little on every corner?
Dave you must be like lightning because Curtis Fung has been unstoppable my last few races! Just now I took second 17 seconds behind him. I just can't run mid 1:03s all race yet...
I was using 3rd for both the uphill and West bend, but now I stay in fourth and it seems to have taken a few tenths off my average lap around Lime Rock. Sometimes I still drop it into third for the uphill. Into West bend, I never actually used any brakes but instead just shifted down right before turn in. Now, I tap the brakes and stay in fourth, and it seems easier to get back on the throttle sooner thus carrying more speed down the hill and onto the straight...
PB is 1:03.7, and I can average low 1:04s over a 20 lap race. Before using fourth in West bend I was averaging closer to mid 1:04s.
Man, Allmendinger is quick at Lime Rock. First race with him I took 3rd, 13 seconds behind. This last race I told him I was shooting for 10 seconds behind, which I held onto until the last few laps of awful backmarker blocking... that put me 16 seconds behind. Either way, 2nd place behind an ex champ car driver isn't too shabby i suppose...
I usually wait until 12 or 1am my time and it's much better. The traffic was kind of fun but they were way too unpredictable. Same thing in my next race, hence the 9 points. Off the gas and in avoidance mode for every 4-point incident...
After our good race Quick, I just did one more. Got 9 fricken points because of boneheads backing up onto the track at the apex of the downhill...
incident avg. went from .80 to 1.5 and lost .25 safety rating.
bloody hell.
edit: And actually, I even reset to the pits and went a lap down, still finished 4th somehow.
That's exactly what it was, but usually those films are not meant to be "so bad they're good." They suck, and it makes them funny. Doing this on purpose as a director is much harder than making a sh*tty film that some kids in college find funny 10 years later.
Kurt Russell playing virtually the same character in "Escape from LA" is a perfect example. It was an action movie in the 90s. Now it's a comedy.
Did I read somewhere that it's not two wheels off that'll give you points, it's putting the centerline of the car off? Seems to me I can drop two wheels ever so slightly in spots without getting points.
I also just updated to the latest nVidia drivers and turned off Vsync. Hopefully that will prevent me from ever getting a disconnect like that again... Finishing last and getting incident points because iracing stopped responding... now [I]that's[I] annoying.
Just went from first to last because of a disconnect. "iracing has stopped responding." What a stupid way to lose a race and get 3 incident points. I'm pissed.
It's designed as an attachment for their overpriced "arctic butterfly," which builds a static charge in the bristles by spinning the brush. You don't need the attachment. Blast the HDF brush with compressed air to charge the bristles, and then brush the sensor. This is actually the method they used to recommend before they figured out how to charge everybody an extra hundred bucks.
Remember, in most cases you'll be wiping the dust off of the thin layer of glass that protects the sensor, the brush never actually comes in contact with it. Be careful, watch out for moisture in your breath getting on the sensor, and you'll be fine.
Two huge cameras hanging around your neck and a silver tongue will get you just about anywhere you want to be sans credentials.
Obviously there are going to be some situations where a legitimate press pass or affiliation will be absolutely necessary, but I've walked right past police, firemen, security guards, event organizers, etc... If you look the part it's usually pretty easy, but F1 seems like one of those events that might be tough.
I stand by my notion that anything with spelling errors in the title should go straight in the trash. It's 2008 people, if you can't spell very well use the fricken spell check and at least pretend you're an adult.

Everything is still at stock speeds for now. Maybe when I have more time to learn in detail about overclocking I'll give it a go. For now I really have no reason... 60fps solid @ SO6, back of the grid behind 19ai. 1280X1024, everything else maxed. rFactor gives me 250fps in some places, same with iRacing.
A little off topic, but when I search for this thread, even searching the title verbatim, it doesn't come up anywhere. Weird.
Enjoying the updated version, but have one question. What kind of steering lock to lock does the Z06 have in real life? I can't figure out if it's possible to get the in game wheel to turn more than 240 or whatever my wheel (momo) offers. Feels like a road car should have much more than that?
