BOV3 sounds great on the FXR... reminds me of that Prodrive/FXR Top Gear video. The other cars I probably won't mess with....

It seems as if it's impossible to get a good background color for the actual gauges. They all end up with a weird hue or earth toned.... Putting the sliders in the same spots as say, the FOX, results in a completely different color....

A skin loosely based on my dad's old Formula Atlantic from the eighties, seen below.
It's fairly simple in design but i spent some extra time on details i normally skip... chips on wings and side panels,
carbon tub, etc. I'll probably add more scuffs and dirt in due time.

Quote from Mikkel Petersen :Muse bla bla bla emo music bla bla bla.

And no, dude, Muse is not Emo... If they were my hair would be all sad looking and I'd be wearing my little sister's pants....

Quote from Hankstar :I also enjoy re-living 1977

Go to the source, man. Load up on early Black Sabbath and Deep Purple and you'll realise why Wolfmother are the ultimate recyclers Listen to whatever you like though, but don't let yourself be fooled that they're bringing anything new to the table

The fact that Wolfmother (along with every other new band out there) borrows from older stuff is no secret. I'm thoroughly convinced the Beatles did/wrote everything there was to be written, and the secret to success these days is touching on older music that people identify with. Everyone does it, sometimes you just have to listen a little harder.

And yes, Muse is great. Muse is everything I ever wanted from Radiohead. The guy even sounds just like Thom Yorke. That being said, Radiohead's latest could be their best album since Kid A....

Patch Y has turned this forum into a wasteland of re-hashed and completely unfounded complaints... Seriously people, it's getting old.

Thanks so much for your input. Unfortunately, this wheel still isn't recognized by the XBCD utility. Looks like it's time for a new one....

UPDATE: I've also tried the Pinnacle Game Profiler now, with no luck. Apparently it's quite impossible to create a new axis for this increasingly annoying wheel...

Can anyone verify that the Logitech DriveFX wheel for xbox 360 CANNOT be set to seperate axes for gas/brake? I've tried Logitech Gaming Software, in-game settings, and control panel>game controllers, but to no avail...

I bought this wheel the morning after I downloaded the LFS demo, as it was available locally, i was dying to try the demo with something other than the kb, and my old roomate had an xbox. Should have done some research first, as always...

I thought I had read somewhere that they finally found the data logger from Senna's car (it went missing and/or was purposely damaged right after the crash if I remeber correctly) and sorted through it all. The caution lap prior to his crash is believed to have reduced tire pressure enough so that his skidplate bottomed out. No broken steering column, no sabotage, no holding his breath and passing out... Haven't seen anyone as fun to watch since....

Incomplete explanation

Generally I just look for the proper gear for each corner, not MPH. I may glance at my mid-corner speed and/or my exit speed if i'm fine-tuning a setup, but for the most part I just brake, downshift to the correct gear, and watch for my turn-in point.

I vote for Driver B, who could have given more room and would still have had the inside by T1. It's hard to vote for lag, even though Driver C did get twitchy after putting himself in a tight spot... but who honestly goes out and drives defensively against the potential of lag?

Lime Rock is awesome! I remember when it used to be Ferrari vs. Dyson all the time... The old 333sp chassis vs the Riley & Scott Mks... before they put the chicane on the uphill...
Cool pics, brought back some great memories.

My solution is fairly basic, but it works VERY well. I have my laptop resting atop 4 empty film canisters, with an air filter/fan directly next to it, blowing air underneath it. I used to have drops from 70fps to 20fps or so, but with the fan on it NEVER happens anymore.

May not be exactly what you were asking for but it saved me a lot of money and trouble... Another you might want to try is unscrewing your fan from the bottom and seeing if there is any dust/debris that needs cleaning out.

I find that with certain tracks, Aston Club for example, driving the BF1 around BEFORE i get into the FOX helps me smooth things out a little once i'm in the slower car. SO Classic is the same way. Lap times don't always drop significantly but consistency definitely goes up. Braking points are easier to hit, turn in is less dramatic, etc...
However, when i think about it the effect only lasts a little while...

Quote from Venus :For those with preload problems in Aston Club FOX. I just fixed mine. I set preload to 80, and now the car is back exactly the way it was before. The default setting is way too high for the fox.

For me, AS CLub + FOX, preload set to ZERO brings the car back to before patch X. Interesting. I found a happy medium at 20, and the car feels much more neutral mid-corner, and stickier on exit. What is your controller setup?

+1

I was in ConeDodgers once, and someone volunteered to be the pace car for a rolling start. Everyone agreed and it worked perfectly, not to mention it was quite fun. I volunteered to do the same at Redline later in the week and everyone but those who know me were convinced i would jump the field and win the race....

Dual exhaust/cans on such a small motor (turbo/200 shot or not) is killing the flow velocity of your exhaust gases.

It is apparently your car so do as you please, but from a performance standpoint you don't need more than a single 3" pipe with a good high flow cat...

Number 27 is my favorite there. It reminds me of something that would come out of a real darkroom.
All very nice work.
