i tried to change the dusty clouds while spinning in snow into small snowy particles.. still dunno how to change the color.. i hope i can manage it to fix that
i dont know if i can change dust to snowcolor .. i know there is a file called dustalpha.dds .. i can try but i think its implemented in the game somewhere.
unpack everything EXCEPT for the "LFS.EXE" .. since these files are from a pretty older LFS version and its causing corruption.
so reinstall latest LFS.. and then unpack as described above..
Important Note : This mod cannot be uninstalled, don't use your original LFS folder for the mods but make a new LFS installation/folder if you want to try one of my mods
yeah i could do that .. but mod is a mod right.. u change things.. i could do that in the background picture of the main menu.. .. if u dont like.. dont use my lfs.exe then
i didnt claim it really.. because i still leave the credits page as it originally is..
well anyway.. my last attempt will be a snowmod.. then i'm finished for now with lfs stuff
i'll see what i can do.. anyway about that winter thing with reflections etc.. if you wanna make it that way u describe that.. u kinda need to program a new LFS engine.. which i cant do.. i will make a snowmod.. but only daytime
yeah if i make rough sand types.. it'll probably look to "repeated" along the way..
so maybe smooth sandy edges looks better.. if you drive blackwood with sandy edges it looks great... i dunno about the rough sand idea tho.. i can try.
load dds files like this when the dds dialog pops up.
when you save dds files.. pay attention to the red squares (important settings). anyway the save dialog is very advanced.. i dont know what all these other things do..
another small update.. i made sandy roads.. pay attention to the sides of the roads .. using gradient overlays in photoshop .. creates a nice effect.. i'll stick to the grey roads with sandy sides
my videocard.. a geforce 6800LE (and yes LE is slowest version) but works pretty well with latest nvidia drivers.. my cpu .. amd athlon 64 3500+ (socket 939).. :heyjoe67_
it looks better.. except for some trees.. they are still to dark (background tree bunches) .. anyway gotta go now.. gonna finish this tomorrow.. im getting there step by step cya
no sandy roads.. hmm im trying the option photofilter now in cs2 photoshop..
i loaded my desertbackground and chose the lightest sand color with the color picker.. with photofilter i can make all dds make exactly the same sand color as the background.. yeah i think grey roads are better ok but it can take a while before im finished with the fixed desertmod then.. so from now on.. ignore the color issue and enjoy the mod so far
