[quote=JJ72;884834]It's nice, just need a bit of cinematic touch to it, can't see too much of the action shots in the trailer yet, I'd expect some innovative camera angle/ movement / time control which is set to a piece of fitting music, you know the "rhythm" quote]
First of all thanks for all the feedback! Me and StartWars are overjoyed! Its good to see mixed opinions, 9.9 for a trailer isnt bad i agree there JJ72, but again, we tried to keep the trailer as short and dramatic as possible with 1-2 seconds shots. And as Squid said, it did need more effects. Expect all your desires and standards to be achieve and then some in the full movie! which is why were happy for any suggestions and improvements, Again, as squid said it has been done before by Don with the TEh Carl series, im looking ferociously for it, so when me and StartWars has seen his work, we can decide that if it will match up to ours .
This is it guys: the HALF HOUR COUNTDOWN! :laola:
As we currently speak it is being uploaded fresh off sony vegas onto the suitible hosts and youtoob.
:banana_ra
21:00 is the magic number tonight, hold your breathe
But if you dont hype it, you get no interest Us saying what we are making is revolutionary may make us seem like inconsiderate idiots, but me and startwars are just extremely happy with our work, and it will show with our trailer. In addition, we believe we have created something differant. It is because of this, "hype" is created. Me and Startwars are not hyping at all, it is merely the effect of expressing our ideas and ambitions that is creating the hype
lol now that is reasuring to hear, and im glad we have earned your interest, and that you have the smallest belief that we may pull of something differant. That is our aim, and (We think) we have pulled it off. An example is that this trailer by the end of will have you saying "whoa!" it did with me when StartWars showed me a clip we just put in.
Not long now.. were predicting to upload it and release about 8-9pm. sooner the better, we shall let you know
EDIT: Dont have high hopes or expectations, it doesnt give the same effect when your expecting it :P plus we dont look so stupid when it isnt any good
hold onto your jaw squidhead and before you begin scrutinzing every detail that you do so well, it is "only" a trailer, thus the full movie is work in progress, i will look forward to your feedback from the oh almighty and wise squidhead.
In addition, it will give a taste of something that is revolutionary to movies of the lfs, only the movie itself can justify my quote.
I am extremely exited and proud to announce after months of working on this movie that the Live for Speed: Collateral Collision's movie trailer is being released later this evening!!!
A time is to be confirmed and a countdown will begin in the next few hours so keep checking this post!
moving on from fox's choice of music, thats a great movie, a unusual choice of soundtrack to say the least, but it doesnt not work, so no critisism from me about it. I agree with squidhead, a few more shots "admiring" the LX would of been good, being its the passion about it. As he said, it does seem like just racing, a suggestion is maybe show other uses of the LX? cruising, or on rally track or drifting or whatever? 10/10 at 0:50-0:55, the shot changing 3 times keeping the car in the middle.
"This is the one thing I hate about making movies - getting people."
Thankyou, im glad you feel our frustration. Secondly its harder when all the volunteers have to do is a little boring scene driving at 30mph :P but just you all wait for the preview. the hard work pays off, It looks fantastic!
"You didnt call me names no, but you did tell me to stop ****ing about because other people were saying I was when i was just getting out of the way and I did tell you that. I "allegedly rammed other users .. right. You were recording a movie, surely you have saved replays. Go and watch them before believing what some pubeless little gobshite has told you.
I don't want to hear about it again, you were all very immature and childish. I am going to take a break from engine sound making, I suggest that you and your friends grow up in that time."
Gills please also accept my apologies for the other users attitude. Please be reassured that action has been taken, and that the ones offending will not be in the credits, accounted for and will not film with us again in the future. You are indeed correct about some fools chanting "ban". Take note that i did not. But instead was intending of talking with them and taking action instead after the shoot.
Me and StartWars have taken a look at the video footage, unarguably you did cause inconvenience at points. On the other hand, the attitude of others was highly unacceptable. Im happy to send you the video footage. Startwars and i will also take responsibilty for your unhappyness of the event, it is our directing skills that failed to control the situation.
Agreed, no more shall be said of the event. If you do wish to talk further dont hesitate to PM me and startwars. We are filming tonight for the best and most exciting scene so far, and we would both be honoured for you to return. You have indeed been greatly generous with your assistance.
Firstly, allow me to apologies for creating a seperate thread for a request for the same movie Live for Speed: Collateral Collision. (under movie drivers request) But i believe this next scene we are shooting this evening at 6pm GMT +1 (uk time) requires the utmost attention:
We are looking for 14 drivers, to assist us in a film scene on the autocross track, you will be acting as traffic, on what we have adapted to be a motorway. But it wont be just boring driving back and forth, expect crashes, swearving, swearing, avoiding, and of course, more crashing, so join us and be part of the most action-pact, adrenaline pumping, crash infested movie ever to be created for live for speed!
We are looking for you to be co-operative, friendly and most importantly; patient. It is indeed tedious work, but the results far outweigh the grind of the filming.
If you are interested, then just say so here, and we will PM you with the details of the host name and password. During filming you will be expected to: be in a range of cars, with plain colours or sensible skins (nothing racing im afraid) and to also have british number plates for example: V549 LTT. In addition, if you happen to have lfs player hacker, then please do use it. If not, then just wear a black helmet, or download it
Expect a preview of Live for Speed: Collateral Collision this week, predicted wednesday (Date and time still to be confirmed)
well put in my place and dont take the mic of my avatar! its a little differant to plain old and common pictures of XFR's drifting about.
I am sorry to hear you highly doubt us. Which is fair enough. Two random guys claiming to make the best movie yet. Dont worry super special effects isnt our approach, think of it more... theme breaking.
And i guess i was a little harsh on the critism, i though u would appreiciate the feed back, it was good, just hard to keep attention off in politer words
Although admittadly we are struggling with a few things, that again havnt been done before. With someone of your experiance Perhaps you and fox could gives some hints and ideas how to do them over PM?
if you've watched the sim movie, you can get a bearing of what our standards and aims our for our first movie in lfs. if your not happy with the fact there is no details revealed then dont bother with us.
On the other hand, if your just waiting for a preview then we apologies for your wait, expect it within mid-june!
with all due respect: *yawn* there wasnt much there that caught my eye. i dont understand why it was nothing we had seen before? apart from the fact your driving in between metal fences?
on a positive note, some nice footage at times and good film editing. my and my friend StartWars are creating a movie. now that WILL be something not done ever before. look at the post movie drivers wanted; to find out more.
To,
Squidhead, i have already replied to that question, obviously you have missed it:
"Good question, and one we was expecting to hear :P, Yes you will. As quoted from StartWars we are quickly working on a quaility teaser trailer, that will give some hints on what the movie is about. Unfortunatly we want to start making progress on the movie before realising a preview, as someone could easily take our idea.
Although if your happy to help us, and attent one of our filming days (which will be announced soon) you will find out all about our movie. (we will ask for your word not to spill of course :P)
Rest assure me and my friend are perfectionist. Expect this movie to be beyond any league seen before!"
