Kashopi, simple question: Why are in the german EAS (with about 100) drivers including EPS), always more than 80% of the drivers finishing? And if you read my post right, you should see, that I second the point about that there should be work done on this issue, BUT it is well known, and if you behave as drivers, this wont happen! That's where I refer to mathematics. If 60% of your drivers cant keep the car on the wheels for a race, they should think about some of the basic laws of racing: To finish first, you first have to finish.

I second Becckys thoughts on the capability of your racers. Sorry, but then 60% of your racers arent capable of racing clean and safe. Sounds harsh, but maths have spoken. German communities leagues dont have a prob with that and enjoy the possibility of this feature. Sure, now one or two guys have to end races due to lying on the roof, but we usually DONT have the car2airplane problem, cause the drivers know how to behave.

Sure, collision detection isnt perfect, and should be worked on more, but the fact that people KNOW this prob for a long time, should give them the sensibility to handle it and behave in the right way.

there you guys have it (again). If LFS would be put to Mac, it would need double work every patch. And therefor it's just not usefull. And additionally you can put bootcamp and run LFS there. Better controller support included....

scawen, is the mpr header changer affecting the structure of the header heavily? So a Parser e.g. would get problems now (again)? Or is it done this way, that this is additional information?

This weekend the ten best drivers of the LFS EPS will fight in Cologne, Germany for the win of the 8th LFS ESL Pro Series. Yes, since 4 years LFS is part of the biggest eSports league in Europe, with 28 races every year and 2 LAN-finals. It's a tradition by now, to meet up in cologne twice a year, watch some great racing by the best german racers and enjoy the community with some nice party.
After this season, intel will have given away about 40000,- Euros in prize money to the winners throughout the years.
The most wins in a season, and the most championships are won by Nils "SK|n1lyn" Naujoks so far, and he's attempting the next one.

The LFS EPS is only the top of the ESL leagues. To get in there, you need to survive a season in the ESL Amateur series, which is not the easiest, to beat about 80-100 other racer.

With more than 100 races done, consistently since 4 years, the ESL Pro Series is probably the league with the most races done in a league so far since LFS S1 came to life. A lot of races been broadcasted LIVE on TV and webstream, every Replay is available still, LFS careers were born, raised and finished in it already

Thx for the good investigations you took . ESCC != ESL UK. There might have been problems in the UK, I dont know. But all I can say is, that in the german based organized first ESCC and now in this too, there wont be problems about delivering the small prizes. As in the ESL Pro Series the money was given away every season regularly. And this for the 7th time up till now with the end of the 8th LFS season coming this weekend. So danowat, be asured, if you win one of the prizes, you'll get them

yap Toad. Most of the guys who moan about getting shot, are at least partly guilty of the crashes too. Because there is more to it, then just luck, that I survive t1 most of the time

As long as LFS hasnt reached the numbers of GPL, there is a continuos potential of buyers every day. So just dont care, that'll be enough people in the world to feed all of them and their families for quite a long time

There are real racers in the beta-test team and other real racers playing LFS are often asked for their opinion and informations.

I even doubt it's 10°. It seems like you have no idea, when you talk about geometrics... 10° is still 15%, meaning 15 meters drop on a way of 100 meters. I wanna see pics of the road that drops that steep and where you go 100km/h that easy. And I promise you, that on such a road, a car does not loose speed in that region of about 100km/h. It'll accelerate.

There you'll meet on saturday and sunday morning a lot of guys from the german LFS community, cheering for the best to fight out the final races and win the cup.

About 50-60 LFS nerds will be there, the races are done on saturday 10 a.m. and sunday 10 a.m. If you plan to come, we can arrange to put you on some guest list. The races will be shown on a big screen with some commentating.

Most important: You can meet most of the german LFS dudes, n1lyn, husky, unlimited, tube, maxxfrag etc. etc. (eh, and me too ). And saturday you can expect some drinking somewhere :P
