sorry for bump but things changed

the next day i ordered my comp it got deleted from the dell homepage, because they dont sell it anymore.. (grrr)

this was 2 weeks ago or seomthing.

but TODay (2 weeks later) i got phoned and a guy told me i´ll get another computer for the same money.

the specs are:

core duo processor (2.33 ghz on the homepage?!)
3gb of ram DDR3
and ati radeon hd 4850 graphics card 512mb memory.

the rest doesnt really change to my "old" ordered comp.

the guy on the phone ment this comp is a little bit better, then the one i ordered originaly, what do you think?

Grahphics card and RAM are better. Investigate the CPU though, make sure it's still a quad core if that's what you want.

no its a dual core, with 2.33 ghz (1333 mhz fsb)
the old one was quad core 2.44 ghz (1066 mhz fsb)

It's ok, as long as there are pairs of identical sticks in each channel, so you can have 2x1024 and 2x512 and dual-channel would still work.

Up to you then really. I wouldn't take a dual core + DDR3 over a quad core + DDR2 personally.. But then I wouldn't buy a pre-made anyway, so maybe you have to take what you are given.

yes i have to take what they give me lol..
im really pissed of that they can´t give me the one i want to have..

2 weeks of waiting for nothing, and the Point of delivery time for new comp they give me was set to 19. january 2009..

my next pc buy will 100 percent not go to dell..

I've heard a few issues before with dell about long delivery times.

mh... but 2,33Ghz is realy SLOW! for a dual core... i got 2,83 @ 3,2GhZ
its Intel Core 2 Duo E8300 and rly happy with it :P

PS: I will never buy things by Dell... cuz i got bad ->"erfahrung"<- with these guys..

1. Very long Delivery....
2. Costs much and FIRST pay then get Machine....
3. Dont got what i wanted.....
4. Theyre not in ma Country and i rly dont like it to trade much money to other countrys (nothing against other countrys)

We allready have a dell computer in our house, and all worked without problems! (it even arrives in 4 days)

but now this..at tuesday im waiting fro 3 weeks and my money is also gone for 3 weeks..i dont think it will arrive bevore christmas.

things changed AGAIN

now i made a bit terror with the dell guys and they finally send me this (in attachment) rig.

i think this is worth the 830 €.

delivery time is 12. january 2009, so when i get it i finally waited 1 1/2 months and they´ve shown me 3 different rigs.

Because if you use a german OS and an english keyboard, you are missing a key
