Hi everyone. I find out there is an addon for LFS called LFS-Tune. A friend of mine sent it to me, but i couldn't understand how it works.

The program works, but i can not modify the car the way i wanted
there are 3 areas i can change, "General HP", "Torque", "Powerband".
Is there a formula to play with them, or should we do it just randomly.
For example i want to try my cars engine, a toyota 1.6 liter one.3ZZ-FE is the engine code and specs of my engine are:

Maximum power 109.5 PS (108.0 bhp) (80.5 kW) @ 6000 rpm
Specific output 67.6 bhp/liter 1.11 bhp/cu in
Maximum torque 150.0 Nm (111 ft·lb) (15.3 kgm) @ 3800 rpm
bmep 1179.6 kPa (171.1 psi)
Specific torque 93.87 Nm/liter


How could i calculate from these values, the ones i need for LFS-Tune?

i tried to write general hp in 80.5 kW/100 =0.80
Maximum Torque 1.50
and powerband 0.6

and it didn't work. And lastly, what is "powerband" ?

How did you got LFS-Tune working on Z version DEMO?

i use LFS_alpha_y demo still. And my friend have S2 licence, i don't

LFS Tune has a license protection, you are demo racer.

yea, but i try on my friends pc, who have a s2 license
so ignore license problems, whats the trick of calculation of these values anybody knows?

If he has LFS and an Internet access (which he does for sure, otherwise he couldn't be S2 Licensed), just tell him to connect. It's easy.

There's no general formula, just try decreasing and increasing until you get right kW's and other stats.

To other poster - is this your freaking problem? I don't see "moderator" status under any of your names. So help or stfu, please. Really sad to see, how this demo-racer-racism is spreading like a disease.

Well, I don't want to start a flame. It's everyone-who-bought-S2-license's problem. Moderator or not, I can't stand that someone uses a crack, all in all this game costs ONLY 24£ -a bargain IMHO-, and the money is sent to the devs: they than can improve the game. But if someone cracks the license protection... no money to the devs and then no improvements.
And it's almost 4 days my status changed from "Demo" to S2, so I don't think I'm really against demo-users -I've been one for months. I'm only against crackers. And so are the others who posted here, and so are all S2 licensed.

So if he proves us that his friend really has got an S1/2 license, than I will be glad of helping him. If not, well... no help.
I really don't think it's a very impossible thing to do: if he connects here, posts a TINY partecipation ("I'm so-and-so, I'm beatlemaniac's friend, we use the game together, please help us.") we are just GLAD to help. If beatlemaniac just says that, we can't trust him, then no help from us (even if this isn't useful anymore, now that you helped him).

No plots here, nothing against Demo Users, just DON'T USE CRACKS, for God's sake.

i am no under obligation to prove anything to you guys, i politely asked something and thats the case. i don't want to spend 24 pounds to s2 licence so i play demo version. My friend is kind of busy, god knows when he'll connect the site and post a reply.

anyways all you've gotta do is open LFS Tune and LFS together, go to the pit in the XF-GTI and change the settings while in pits, click apply, and exit pits. Although if your a cracker, well shame on you and silly me for answering your question, Good Luck!

Yeah I agree... Even though I'm a demo racer, I'm still totally against cracking the game. That way, you're indirectly affecting the development of the game.

Anyway they aren't really dumbasses or idiots, some ppl are out of their means to pay for that. You may think 32 Euros or 24 quid is reasonale, YES. But for them it's either a big sum, or they have no way of buying it of various reasons, like no PayPal account, no credit card, etc...

I have no one around me whom I know has credit card or PayPal so I have stayed that way for about 3 years already. I've started playing since November 2005 till now, it's just that I've only registered on the forum just 2 years ago.

Srsly, come to see of it, the version which I started on (0.5Q) till now (0.5Z), I can see a big difference between both versions. So paying for the license is worth the money. But too bad this year onwards I'm too busy to touch the computer often so buying it isn't worth so much now.

With this I don't mean that I think EVERYONE in the world could easily pay 30+€ for a game... I mean, if I can't afford it, why crack it?

For example, I'd really like to drive a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, and I can't afford it, but I don't do illegal things to drive one (like steal or joyride it).
It's a bit of an exaggeration, but IMO is quite right.

I can't buy a Lambo so I don't steal it; I can't buy S2, so I don't crack it.

You said you won't joyride a Lambo Murcie LP640 if you can't buy it... What if that's your friend offering you a ride in his LP640? I bet you can't resist the temptation of that... Unless you have a HUGE sense of self-pride.
