Kayboard and mouse
Hi,

So after i posted in another thread that all keyboards are the same, i changed my mind and think my keyboard is shit... (same goes for my mouse)

So i want to buy a new keyboard and mouse, but not very expansive ones like the G15 or G19.
Maybe something under 80 euro?
The mouse should have some extra keys and a comfortable shape, so if anybody has any suggestions please tell them.

sorry but i failed at the title
I'd suggest a Saitek Eclipse III, or a Logitech G11 (mini G15)

As for Mice, I'd suggest a Logitech G5 or something like an MX1000 or MX Revolution.

The G5 isn't cordless, but the MX1000 is.

The keyboard on that is... 'wierd'. I myself can't get used to the "ergonomic" key layout, but if it suits you it's probably good value.

I'd personally suggest either buying the keyboard and mouse you want seperately, or if you're willing to compromise on choice, save some money by getting something like this

ill have a look thanks

edit: what about the MX 518?
for mouse:
i'd say go for a razer, diamondback or something
and meh cordless.. unless it has a charger, u'll have to replace the batteries ALOT, if u use it as much as i do

It fluctuates in price a lot, but it's a great mouse. Designed for bigger hands really if that's a consideration.

Microsoft Reclusa or Sidewinder x6 keyboard?

The MX518 is wired. I had one and found it fine for my "medium" hands. "Dented" look was pretty cool. Found it annoying at first to find a setting which suited my style of play on CSS but after a week I eventually got used to it.

The game has moved on, if you're going to get a wired mouse I'd still suggest a G5.
S14 isn't the G5 laser? That's one thing that put me off, apparently they have some tracking issues on certain surfaces
that microsoft sidewinder x6 looks nice too

those things are so damn expansive :\

i did find the G5 for 40 euro and the microsoft keyboard for 55

edit: so microsoft x6 or logitech g11?

Yeah it's LAZARRR. I'm using a LAZARRR (wireless) MX Rev and it tracks fine on everything I've used it on. My clothes, the wall, the mouse pad, and the wooden thing. I think it's only on reflective surfaces, but who uses a shiney metal desk?

Find a shop, and try them - or see if your country has something like the Distance Selling Regulations and make use of the cooling off period.

I got to try a G15 rev. 2 and a G11 from work and frankly I didn't like the feel of either of them, but it's personal opinion...
Why didn't you like them?

And have you tried that Sidewinder x6 keyboard?

Haha fair play.

My complaint about the G15 is it requires too much pressure to register key presses.

I felt the keys weren't "clunky" enough.

And I haven't tried it - yet. It looks like the keys would be too soft, but unfortunately work really aren't keen on letting me try ANOTHER keyboard (i've only borrowed a G15 and 2x SatNav's now... :X)
i think ill go for a cordless mouse > Logitech LX8

together with the Microsoft Sidewinder X6 makes it exactly 100 euro, with the G5 it will be 114 euro but is that worth it?

Take the G5.
ok so i ordered the Sidewinder X6 and this mouse > the Logitech MX 1100R

yes it might not be a gaming mouse but i just hate a wired mouse
Have fun with the Logitech Setpoint Drivers.... be forewarned!
 why? is it difficult or just shit?
