Sign Ups Open for the NDR 2009 Kyoto 250 - The Great LFS Race!

NDR are pleased to announce that Sign ups for the 2009 edition of the Kyoto 250, 'The Great LFS Race', are now open. The race will take place on the 7th March this year.

We have entry requirements to try and prevent a repeat of last year's n00b fest

Quote :- 175 Online Laps of XRT on KY1
- An hotlap uploaded to LFSWorld of XRT on KY1 within 103.50% of the WR
- Attendance at two (2) or more Official 2009 Kyoto 250 Practice Sessions

Practice sessions will start approximately mid-January, with us running them as often as we can. You are encouraged to run in as many as you can, and not just show up, do your two, and go. The more you do, the better you can get acquainted with how we will be running the event, and get some practice in with other people who might be in the race. The sessions are also a good way to meet your laps requirement if you don't yet meet it.

Remember, YOU CAN STILL SIGN UP BEFORE MEETING THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

And another thing to bear in mind, this is definitely the more n00b friendly oval event of the year, so even if you havn't experienced turning left for hours on end before, come along and have a go - its lots of fun. And you'll gain lots of experience from just turning up to the practice sessions

However, you'll find turning left for a long time might be harder than you think, especially with the XRT

Here is a link to a pretty good Oval set (Ty to setupgrid)

Here is the link to the sign-ups thread, please DO NOT sign up here!!

Also in that thread is lots of other stuff and a link to the rules and other things.

We hope to see as many of you as possible there!!

The NDR Team.

What time is the race going to be held at as i'm possibly going to race with Lizzardfolk as were team mates on Clockwork MotorSports team.

Qualifying Day will be on March 1, 2009, starting at 14:00 UTC, and will have a hotlap session, followed by Twin 115-Mile Races to finish setting the grid (full procedure to be announced later.) Any word on dates for the practice races?

Not yet, but they will be coming soon, we promise.

We want to start them as much as you do

This weekend at the absolute earliest, depends on whether we can get a server (which we probably can, if ours isn't up) and whether or not many of us are available

ooops i hadn't gone to the other thread yet sorry about that

Well I would love to compete :P
But I don't have any uploaded hotlaps and I won't.
Plus I don't think I have 175 laps

Though, I would love to compete!

Will hear it
Kyoto 250 Update

Hi guys, sorry for the newsless past few days - me and deko have both been fairly busy Here are the latest Kyoto 250 updates:
  • We now have 40 signups However, if you're interested, please still sign up, we can have an unlimited number of people qualify! (well, we'd rather not have thousands of sign ups - quali might get a bit boring for us :schwitz
  • We hope that the first Official Practice Session will be this weekend, probably Sunday evening so as not to clash with the various 24 hour races
  • We have purchased a server, and it's open for practice It's called NDR|2009 Kyoto 250, and is passwordless for you to come and go as you please. Note it'll be private on Saturday Evening from about 1800-2200 GMT as there's a private event on
i will be thinking about joining

what time is that exactly?
Quote from J@tko :WR time x 1.03 = 47.88 x 1.03 = 49.32

that is way too easy to get :/ but your choice
PS sorry if my other posts didn't make sense.

You might want to post this in the Actual thread for the Kyoto 250 as well.
That is where most people will be looking for their info. Just my 2 cents.

I think its because they are all scared to do the oval with the tough competition
Ya thats right I've thrown down the gauntlet Come and kick our North American butts I dare you!!

Eh...there are probably 4000 people who could do that.

Falke, I found that the german forum is quite strange. Looks like most of them are afraid of the LFS forums/international events or something.

They're all German. What did you expect of them? :hide:
