I recently installed the LFS DB Hi-Res Pack. Overall I love it but the cockpits in some of the cars (those that received cockpit updates in the recent patch) are screwed up.

So how do I restore their default cockpits?

Restore the relevent files from the backup you made before overwriting them, or from the zip file of LFS that you downloaded and kept somewhere safe.

Best thing you can do is download the dds backup folder from lfs-database.com

You should be careful with XF and XR interiors that have been released befor e July 2008. Most of them are outdated. Interiors for all the other cars are ok.

I don't have any backups since the LFS self-extractor can always act as one. But which DDS files comprise the car interiors, that's what I want to know.
If I simply overwrite everything in the DDS folder, I would lose the new hi-res tyres, brake calipers, etc. as well when I only want to restore the default interiors.

If you only replace the interiors you'll only lose Hi-Res car textures, not seperate things such as tyres and brakes.

Just download LFS again and use the interior1/2/3.dds things..
