Anyone do RC Drifting in UK???
Is there anyone on the forum does rc drifting in the UK and would'nt mind travelling to take part in the JDM AllStars RC Drift Demo?

JDM have asked me to organise it as i know Niall (founder). He asked if i could run it during JDM AllStars Round 1... This is on the 4th/5th April at Newcastle in the North East.

The JDM Drift Demo will raise population in RC Drifting and will be as much of a hit as the real drifting will be as long as there is atleast 10 drifters.

If you want to attend, contact me :
MSN/Email - [email protected]
Yahoo - [email protected]
Facebook - Callum Craddy/JDM Allstars RC Drifting
LFS Forum - PM Me or post here!
DriftWorks - CrabsterDrift

Please come if you are interested to make this work. There is no Fee whatsoever so if you are in the D1RC series as well, use it as a practice day too.

Thanks,
Callum.

you should be able to get a used yokomo k4 or hpi rs4 or something of similar age for ~100€ including reasonable electronics which if you get a good one will be at least as good as most drift rcs are out of the box
I drive a Yokomo MR4TC SD CM
Atm i have
YOkomo RX-7 FC
Tamiya VW Golf IV
Tamiya Toyota Supra
ABC Hobby Toyota MR-2 SW20
etc etc
LiPo 8000Mahh Battpack
Ultramat 16 charger
2x Spectrum DX3 and DX3.0 radio
is the hpi e10 drift anygood ive been looking at that
you could get a much better used chassis for less off ebay
but the e10 has everything with it
so do many sets on ebay of people who give up on the hobby

sure go ahead and tell him to buy a plastic nonsense car with a useless 1500mah battery and an even more useless 27 turn motor and a speed controller that is a complete dead end with its 21 turn limit
so am i better saving for a e10 or buying a secondhand car off ebay

There is no point in buying items aimed at beginners because if you want to progress you have to buy again. I'd rather buy a good equipment second hand than rubbish first hand.
The E10 is good to start with but it's quality is crap (tbh sorry). Better be off with a TT-01D/E. I started of with a tamiya one and was somethimes better then the yoko drivers. Well my skills count to

secondhand the e10 is rubbish and you will break the cheap injection moulding wishbones within seconds
it also comes with an extremely cheap 1500mah battery which was yesterdays tech over 10 years ago when i bought my first yokomo
and the 27 turn motor aka sport tuned for the old guys will be very slow with the speed control making it impossible to upgrade it by any significant amount

youll often find complete sets like this one on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.de/HPI-RS4-PRO ... 65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318
and id be surprised if it fetches more than ~200€ for a much much better car than the e10 with a battery placement that makes it ideal for lipos
i can get a e10 for £83 on ebay brand new is it worth it because i might be able to get it soon
