Now how could that compare to the one i wanted before? It's running at 2.7ghz and the other one 3.2ghz. It seems to have an extra cache, or something, but i really don't know much about them so could someone tell me? This one:

The 7750 is a Black Edition meaning its unlocked completly so you can just clock it to crazy speeds think the highest ive seen on the 7750 is 3.6GHZ on air or thereabouts. Im on the Hunt for a new CPU atm aswell so im eitehr gonna go for the 7750 and clock it or the 6000 or the Phenom 9950 BE undecided on the phenom cause of genral price though

The second one is an old Athlon, basically slightly faster than the one you have at the moment.
This guy seems to be doing kinda the same thing you are - http://forums.anandtech.com/me ... d=28&threadid=2268793

Asking people is always a good idea, BUT, always read reviews of what you're looking at and try and see some comparison tests. That way you get everyone’s input but you also gain some knowledge and make a much better personal decision which will always help you more than just blindly taking peoples advice....which is bad, mmmkay.

p.s. s14 drift. If those AMD's (and consequently my e6750) are unusable in 6 months I'll suck your balls.
Oh baby oh baby.

Garph mentioned some reviews - Toms Hardware do comparisons across a wide range of software on all sorts of different chips.
Right, so is that 2.7ghz black edition processor anygood? There's a site for £65 which is very good. If all you need to do is change the multiplier in the BIOS and twiddle abit then i'm happy with that.
I Don't know if its anygood though from reading reviews it seems quite good, the Best clocks are usually from chaning the volts to 1.4v and a low multiplier with a high FSB. Im Thinking of getting due to its overclocking abilitys . So if you aint scared about OverCloking id go for the 7750
Yeah i've been reading some reviews - looks good! I had someone running it at 3.3ghz running cool on air. This is what i'm going to buy and at overclockers.com its 65quid - bargain!
I'd recommend buying a Decent cooler aswell if you can stretch the budget out a little bit . When you get it send me a PM and tell me what its like .
Oh dear. My dad went and bought a different one before i got to tell him about this one. He's bought a AMD 6000 3ghz dual core. Atleast i don't have to fiddle around with overclocking - But i don't know if it will be any better and it might even be worse.
The 6000 is great aswell . Sure you will love it anyway
Next question - Do you think 4GB of ram is worth it?
Hi, we after purchasing my processor i was wondering if you think 4GB of 800mhz RAM is worth it (800mhz is fastest my mobo will support)? If it is i would be going for the cheapest there is which is: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ ... odid=MY-086-OC&tool=3 £33 quid My mobo has 2 RAM slots so it would be 2x2gb sticks.
If your mobo only has 2 ram sticks you should upgrade as it kind of sets the tone... lol
Exact same Ram ive got

Aint had a problem with it and runs really well

Haha you're right. But me and dad are cheapskates, get the cheapest stuff possible.

Thanks Jamie

I have just ordered that ram now. Upgrading is fun! But i'm skint now haha
Well as long as you're happy with it, that's what matters.
