I don't think Jak's talking about licence sharing. It's the *other* thing. FTR, it's definitely not allowed. However in circumstances such as Greboth's, it's "understood" and obviously no action is taken. To say it's allowed is to suggest that.. IT.. is allowed. It's not, under any circumstances, "allowed by the devs". They are purely and simply *aware* that some S2 licenced racers have issues unlocking at uni dorms. Let's move away from the topic of "IT". It's not a healthy topic for discussion. If Faib can get online in S2 on regular servers, all is good. The only thing missing is permission to use the account from his brother. That's something he needs to sort out on a domestic level.

As I read it Faib is asking if he is allowed to play S2 under his brothers username (it would appear his bro is legit S2 licenced)

With his brothers permission, its a bit like introducing a friend by letting them have a go on your PC, I totally agree Sam its a domestic issue

If some peeps have trouble unlocking the game on a Uni computer, that does not automatically allow them to just to bypass the licence system does it? I thought that what the commercial licences were for.

Because this is in the beginners section I think it would be good to be really clear, however there are more than one topic under discussion in this thread and could cause confusion.

I tried to unlock LFS at school but had no luck, can't get list of servers too.

But most strangest is that I can play with anyone from school (who is connected to school network) via LAN in demo mode
