Hey, i dont know what to do. Im getting myself a car soon, its a Ford Escort 96'. I got no licence, but still i would drive.

Actually my question is ... I wanted to spend 800$ on a PC - to buy new monitor, videocard, more ram. But when i got info that i may get the car, i decided to spend all that money on the car. But, friends are telling me to not spend money on car because its pointless. I wanted to buy 800$ soundsystem in it. If i was you - what would u do? Lets take it as, that im not sitting in PC all the time when its summer (its coming). I really dont know, what to do ... Halp - Halp !

Im getting the car already, for free. But i dont know - is it worth to spend that much on a audio system? Or i could spend it on PC, so i could play everything on max

id spend 100 on a solid banger, 50 on a second one for parts... the rest making it go super sonic ( or die trying )

I wouldnt drive everyday 24/7, because i got no licence and gas is pretty expensive over here tho. When buyng the stuff for PC - i would make my PC as 'future proof'. I also havea scooter what i can use to drive around in summer. I really want to spend the money on audio system - but i really want to spend the money for PC too. I dont know ...

Spend some of the money on a license to start...

Spending money on an audio system is a complete waste especially if you are not using the car that often. Ever heard of saving? Try it some time.

$50 sound system will get you along. Until you get caught for driving without a license.

Get a license, get a cheap sound system and pay for the repairs to the banger - spend the rest on a PC when you need it (i.e. next Winter...)

It is a old Ford Escort. Why you wanna build good audio system, when rusted parts keep falling off. My advice is to save for licence and/or upgrade PC

Get a license first. Driving without one could get you into massive trouble. Not just a ticket, but also problems with your insurance company. They dont pay anything if you cause a crash. Hospital beds cost up to €2000 per day. If they need a surgeon, well, you might want to win a lottery then.

A computer depreciates more than a car, they lose 50% of their value the moment you open the box, where as most cars are still worth 50% of their value after 3 years!

Get a license, before you kill someone else on the roads.

A license isn't just a technicality - it's something that will help you become a much MUCH better driver.

I'm guessing if your not going to get a license your not going to bother with insurance, then? What if you hit someone - are you just going to drive off?

Get a licence if you're going to be driving. No two ways about it at all. Stuff the PC until you get a licence. If you end up getting caught without one you WILL get in MASSIVE trouble with the law. I'd rather have the knowledge that I'm not going to get pulled over just driving along than risking it every time I wanted to go somewhere.
